Have you guys seen the "concept arts" for Icarus... Four concept arts with the Nintendo and Capcom logos on them?

 

Since I´m new here I can´t put URL´s to another sites since I have not posted 15 times already...

 

I would if I could...

 

Anyone?

I haven't seen them, are you able to post the url/link spaced like this?

 

www . example. c o m <-- Then obviously the user can erase the spaces to form the URL and visit the webpage you are referring to where you found the concept art.

 

I'd like Kid Icarus to make a return on Revolution, it was/is a standout NES classic, played it the other day, good ol' sidescrolling action. There is no excuse this time round for the next installment of Super Smash Bros to not include Kid Icarus as a playable character.

I also love Kid Icarus on the NES back in the days, always wanted a return for the Kid... Lovely game. One of my all-time favs, will definately DL on the VC :awesome:

 

A guy posted them on a mIRC channel I´m on... I had never seen them before myself, and I kinda like the art direction... But I don´t know if they´re real...

Interesting find, but i'm uncertain to the validity of those pictures. I noticed that it happens to be called Icarus and not Kid Icarus, perhaps in this game, hes grown up, thus the reason behind having adults in the concept drawings. I like the array of weapons as well, would make for interesting combat with the RevMote, some would be heavier and much more difficult to use, requiring a different type of swing etc. If Kid Icarus on Revolution was to really be developed by Capcom will we this time get ONLY FOR, EXCLUSIVE sign in the top corner like we did for other exclusive gamecube games, for Capcom exclusives, there was only an "only for" sign in PAL regions for Mickey Mouse & The Magical Mirror and thats it, why wasn't their one on Resident Evil 0 which is still a Gamecube Exclusive!! The absence of an "only for" sign on certain exclusive gamecube games annoyed me somewhat...

Thanks very much for that link. It helps whenever you post news you found on another website to post the link to the source where you got it from. It really helps and allows people to take you seriously. :)

 

I backtracked from that link you pasted. It goes back to Cubed3 and the eventually back to Spong.

Sounds interesting. If i'm being honest, i'll be surprised if we don't see a Pikmin game in the future. Whether we see one at E3 or not, that's very hard to tell. Kid Icarus on the other hand..hmm. Put it this way: I think we'll probably see a new pikmin game before we see a new Kid Icarus game revealed. But don't you dare quote me on that! :D

New Smash bros and Metroid are more or less guaranteed for E3. If there isn't a mario title for the revolution at E3, will be really, really surprised.

I would love to see Icarus and Pikmin both at E3, however i'm not sure both will be revealed. I guess we'll just have to wait. :(

I know Smash Bros and MP3 are as good as guaranteed and I really can´t wait to see them.

 

But it would kick ass if Icarus is infact being made by Capcom and/or Nintendo in a more mature way, like those concepts suggest. Stray away from the "kiddie image" they´ve got on themselves.

Super Smash Bros Revolution, imagine the possibilities. :bouncy: 50+ arenas/stages and characters, including featuring areanas from games such as Luigis Mansion, Super Mario Sunshine, Animal Crossing arena, even Pikachus house in Pokemon Channel and yes I do own that game and oddly enough, actually enjoyed it. 50+ characters from all Nintendo systems and having the ability to use the virtual console to download/purchase additional arenas and characters or have them included as a bonus unlockable when you buy a certain game, [EG, You buy a sonic game, and when you save data of that game you unlock Sonic as a playable character and a Sonic arena]. and have the ability to play online and verse people from around the world, imagine the possibility of being able to have more than 4 people at once on a single stage all fighting for victory. Also be able to acquire 1000+ trophies...

I do indeed, I also have a steam mop as well, and will need to thoroughly use the power of steam to clean my carpets as they will suffer considerable "water" damage after E3.

 

Also, hopefully there will be minimal "clone" characters in Smash Bros this time, there were too many in SSBM, 6 in all... Lets have mostly original characters with original moves.

lol based on the rumors theres going to be like 10+ nintendo published games for the revolution at e3 dam i hope it's true a icarus, mario title, metroid, nights, smash brothers all they need in there booth is some floating clouds and every ones going to think it's heaven.

If all is true with Icarus, it'd be cool to include the original version as a free unlockable on the Virtual Console, but so that they don't lose out too much with sales, make it extremely hard to obtain, where you have to fulfill certain requirements within the game in order to unlock it, difficult, but not to the point where its impossible and no one will unlock it for free.

I am quite sure they are fake. They don't look very professional in my eyes. Furthermore why in gods name would Icarus need a good damn selection of so many swords? In the NES version he had a bow and different arrows. No swords, axes, ...

If this were real there's a good chance the game could play like Devil May Cry, i mean look how badass Icarus looks himself and those assortment of swords are amazing.

I hope they are real. Those look really good and I think there will be a Icarus game. I think Dead Phoenix will rise from the flames. Remember Capcom was developing that game and it got cancelled. The more I think about it the more it seems possible. Miyamoto has dropped a few hints as well.
