Julius Posted Wednesday at 01:12 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:12 PM (edited) Per the Pokémon JP Twitter account: Quote "Pokémon Presents" will be streamed Tuesday, July 22nd! It will be distributed on the official Pokémon YouTube channel and other social media. Stay tuned! Announced close to 2 months out is wild! What gives? I imagine we'll finally get a bit of a deep dive on Legends Z-A (meaning it likely doesn't turn up for a potential Nintendo Direct in June) with pre-orders apparently going live in Japan the following day, but this seems so far out that it's hard to not wonder why. My first thought was Worlds, but that's 3 weeks removed from this. NSO updates? We know Colosseum and XD are coming to GameCube Classics, so maybe we get one of those. Maybe other NSO games or classics being released on the system with next year being the 30th, do we dare dream? A look at LEGO Pokémon? An update on Champions perhaps? Explorers of Sky remake for me and @Glen-i? Edited Wednesday at 01:55 PM by Julius 1
Dcubed Posted Wednesday at 01:27 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:27 PM I see Switch 2 upgrades in our future
Julius Posted Wednesday at 01:46 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 01:46 PM (edited) Confirmed for 06:00 PST (that's 14:00 BST) on Tuesday 22nd July by the official Pokémon US Twitter account: Weird that the time wasn't included in the JP or UK accounts announcing the event? 29 minutes ago, Dcubed said: I see Switch 2 upgrades in our future What games do you have in mind? As Scarlet & Violet have their free patches coming at the time of the Switch 2 launch, I'd imagine just the core series games will be getting similar performance patches, and maybe we see Switch 2 Editions for New Pokémon Snap, maybe Pokkén if it needed it (I have no idea) or they had content to add, right? Actually, putting it that way, the spin-off output on the Switch for the series has been abysmal. Hopefully it picks up on Switch 2! EDIT: oh wait, are they going to announce a Z-A themed Switch 2? First limited edition Switch 2 coming just 4 months after launch maybe? Or will they stick with the Switch/Switch Lites? Or do any and all of the above? Edited Wednesday at 01:58 PM by Julius

Glen-i Posted Wednesday at 03:36 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:36 PM 2 hours ago, Julius said: NSO updates? Possibly. Both of the pinball games aren't on the apps, so I wouldn't be too surprised. 2 hours ago, Julius said: We know Colosseum and XD are coming to GameCube Classics, so maybe we get one of those. On the other hand, the fact that those were in that "coming soon" lineup means I have no doubt those games aren't happening anytime soon, especially seeing as it's incredibly likely that Mario Smash Football will be the first game to be added post-launch. 2 hours ago, Julius said: A look at LEGO Pokémon? Maybe, depends on who takes care of the advertising. It might be the case that Lego want to do that themselves. No idea how it works there, though. 2 hours ago, Julius said: An update on Champions perhaps? Now, apart from Z-A, this is the one console related thing I'm actually sure will show up. It's possible that Champions could be how VGC happens in the future, and VGC is a big deal for TPC. Of course, I'm half expecting it to be microtransaction hell, because most spin-offs are these days. 2 hours ago, Julius said: Explorers of Sky remake for me and @Glen-i? You already know the answer, going by the emoji. Shiren the Wanderer came out February last year. I'm not expecting anything PMD for at least a year. And amazingly enough, I'd be OK with that, because it'd mean it would be more likely to be made for Switch 2. 1 hour ago, Julius said: Actually, putting it that way, the spin-off output on the Switch for the series has been abysmal. Hopefully it picks up on Switch 2! Where have you been? It's been dire since the second half of the 3DS! You can blame Pokémon GO for that. But TPC have little interest in console spin-offs. They're still chasing the mobile Dosh. Anyway, that pretty much sums up what I think will turn up here. Z-A, Champions, TCG, and a load of mobile crap.
Jonnas Posted Wednesday at 05:58 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:58 PM Fingers crossed for the Pinball games to come to NSO. I would replay the shit out of those. (Though it would be hilarious if they announced Hey You Pikachu, and nothing else)
