Seems like it’s a collection of all the Bullet Proof Software Tetris (+ Hatris.  I like Hatris, glad to see it here) games.

They’ve shown only 9 of the “more than 15 titles”, so that means the remaining games will probably be the following…

V-Tetris, Tetris X, Tetris S, Tetris 4D, Tetris Blast and Welltris.

Sick collection.  Well hyped for Tetris Battle Gaiden, have wanted to play that one for years! :D

Almost forgot to share, but Maximilian Dood was over the moon about this getting announced:

Man, ya never know just how much someone's into Tetris until a collection like this happens, ya know?

:p

Tetris Forever also features a brand-new game, Tetris Time Warp, developed by Digital Eclipse. This new take on the classic lets players “warp” through different eras of Tetris, experiencing a dynamic mix of graphics, playstyles, and mechanics in real-time. Additional titles may be added on or after release date.

Key Features

  • The Game that Started It All – Digital Eclipse has prepared an authentic recreation of the first version of Tetris, which Alexey Pajitnov created on a Soviet “Electronika 60” computer system. Experience the look and feel of Tetris as Alexey envisioned it in 1984.
  • Interactive Timeline – Explore a virtual museum with archival materials, including video featurettes, photos, original ads, and playable games restored in high-definition and presented chronologically.
  • The True Story of Tetris – With over 90 minutes of all-new documentary featurettes produced by Area 5—creators of Outerlands, Grounded: The Making of The Last of Us, and Grounded II: Making The Last of Us Part II—unravel the true story of Tetris in its purest form.
  • An All-New Tetris Game  Tetris Time Warp, an all-new Tetris variant by Digital Eclipse, will have up to four players warping between different eras of Tetris in real time to experience a variety of memorable graphic styles and play mechanics!

Shaping up to be a really nice package.

With no date and just 2½ months left, this has to be shadow-dropping during or after an event, right?

Pretty much the list of games I expected, though it ended up having the NES and GB versions of more BPS Tetris titles instead of some of the more obscure BPS Tetris games.

Shame that the original Electronika 60 version of Tetris is only a recreation and not the actual original ROM being emulated, but it’s nice to see a recreation anyway.

Tetris Time Warp sounds cool.  Quite similar to what Puyo Puyo 20th Anniversary did with its own respective series :hehe:
