Guess there might have been some truth to those rumours about Street Fighter VI being a disaster after all.
Dcubed Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Damn... that’s really sad. Guy was truly passionate about Street Fighter and generally did a good job with the poor hand he was always dealt. Like @Julius mentioned, this also seems to confirm the rumours about SF6 being cancelled and rebooted after going through development hell too... Guess that it’ll probably end up being swooped up by Sony again now... Let’s just hope that they don’t launch it in a half finished state this time! 1
Jonnas Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 I remember Ono once passed out of exhaustion, and Capcom told him to get back to work ASAP. That man's passion is wasted on this corporate culture. I hope his next step in life is something he enjoys doing almost as much as Street Fighter. Maybe he'll start his own company? I hear he wanted to do a Darkstalkers reboot, but had trouble getting the green light, so this could be an opportunity to pursue something quirky like that. 2
