Do you know if it's because of the bleak/dark atmosphere or the gameplay?

I enjoy the gameplay, i.e. exploration, dialogue, skill-checks, etc. But holy cow did the rest put me in a bad mood after about 2h of playtime

I'll probably get back to it anytime between September and the end of 2024 because there is a 99.99% chance I'll be in a bad place then. But that's a problem for future drahkon

[Happenstance]

I was actually in the same place with Disco Elysium, bought it on Steam and played it for a bit before getting a refund as I wasn't interested in that bleaker tone. I've since bought it again in a sale, feeling like I should give it a try again but I've yet to go back to playing it.

Not sure. He'll probably get back to it as it's running his trophy completion percentage but it's very rare for him to drop a game like that.

I got it as part of PS+ but never touched it. I've read impressions from a few people that the dark tone is why they didn't resonate with the game and dumped it early on.
