They could have kept providing updates for years, and many people would probably have paid money for it, but for some reason Nintendo just don't want to go down that route. 1

I’d say 98% of them I got just from playing normally and doing them as and when I had the chance. The real slog was the final one for making tools. I eventually just ended up gathering loads of branches and iron. Made a pocket full of flimsy nets and then nets. Did this usually just once a day or it got too tiresome. The DIY furniture one was a slog but I did the easy option. There are two DIYs for (I think) messy paper and paper stack, or similar. And you needed one to make the other. I think there must have been a plan to do it that way. The fact that they slowly added the main features over the first few months seemed to indicate the route the game was taking. I think Covid ruined it. 1
