Kaepora_Gaebora Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 I remember Miyamoto proudly saying how the reason he didn't do micro transactions for it was because "everyone said he should do, so he wanted to do the opposite" to paraphrase him. I bet he isn't so proud about it now!
Ronnie Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 I wouldn't be so sure that they regret not putting microtransactions in their most treasured IP tbh, a missed opportunity but I think they care more about not devaluing Mario.

I bet he isn't so proud about it now! He should be, it could have been so easy to exploit microtransactions. Even if I don't care for the game, Mario Run gets more respect from me than Fire Emblem or Animal Crossing. 1
Kaepora_Gaebora Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Fair points, still from a business point of view a big mistake which I'm sure will stop them following a similar model in the future!
