Never played any of these games.

What exactly are they? A multiplayer brawler with a story campaign? That trailer doesn't help me at all in understanding what this is :lauging:

Yeah, its a fighting game set within the FF Universe. I played them both back on the PSP and they great.

So the single player is: Cutscene, battle in a set arena, cutscene, battle in a set arena, cutscene, and so on?

No exploration?

There's kinda a bit of exploration. You play on a battle grid and have to make your way over to the enemy. On the grid you can opt to go straight to the boss or head towards a treasure chest. You'll encounter other battles on this grid so its whether you think the treasure would be worth it. You can level up and gain exp from battles. You also gain various bits of equipment. These effect your stats, pretty much like in the RPGs.

It's basically an arena fighting game, with JRPG elements mixed in and a host of FF fan service sprinkled on top.

I actually quite liked the PSP games, they were good fun. They're not terribly deep, but they're certainly unique and unlike any other fighter. The RPG elements were also quite fun, especially since a lot of it was optional (not unlike Theatrhythm really, which is Dissidia's sister series)

No local multiplayer = no buy though, so if it's not there, I'm not bothering.

Seems like something I'd enjoy :) Thanks.
