Looks like the rumours were true. Sony have picked up the marketing rights for the game. That's a huge get for them.

We can’t wait to show you more of this beginning with the full FIFA 18 reveal at EA Play live from Hollywood on 10th June, but Ronaldo looking even more Ronaldo-like than ever before is just the tip of the iceberg.

This year, for the first time, we can also announce that some of the most iconic footballers in the history of the game are coming to FIFA Ultimate Team on PS4, headlined by one of the players I idolised growing up: Ronaldo Nazario. The legendary Brazilian was one of the most gifted, prolific, explosive and dynamic strikers to ever play the game, and this year you’ll be able to pair him and Cristiano Ronaldo to terrify opposition defenders in FUT.

I'm probably going to give it a miss as I've bought 15,16 and 17 already on the PS4. Don't really feel pumped up for more football. :heh:

I have FIFA 17 on PS4 and while I've recently started playing it locally with people from work, I have no intention of getting FIFA 18 on the same system.

PS+ is the main thing keeping me from playing the game more as I have no intention of subscribing to it and, therefore, I'm restricted from online play.

That's one of the reasons I'll be purchasing the Switch version this year

Won't you still need to pay for the Switch's online? Do we even know what the online services are for FIFA on Switch?

I wouldn't even contemplate getting the Switch version of FIFA, unless it was alongside a PS4 version, but then there's no way I'd buy the same game on two different systems. It would be a weaker game and plus there's going to be a smaller userbase online.

I will have to pay for Switch's online next year, yes, but it will be cheaper and I will have games like Splatoon 2, Arms, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and FIFA 18 that I'll want to play online. It should make it worth paying for while PS+ isn't going to be for me personally.
