Yo yo N-Europe! Who's going Londinium for the Zelda Symphony this Friday 17th of April because I am and I want to know your plans!! I'm gonna be working til maybe 1/2ish but then hoping to put in London by 3/4ish and I would absolutely love to get a little meetup either/or/both before and after the shindigs for us all to come together and celebrate all the N-Europeans!

One of my friends has also highlighted and encouraged this little event at Brick Laney area we could attend post concert depending on end time that is free and chiptuney, though I must admit my own attendance is kinda maybeish at present as I would possibly prefer a nice little local drink for a social and chat instead. But that's just me! Vote with your general selves!

Who else do we know that's going? I know @david\.dakota are, but no idea who else from here. I'm still trying to organise meeting my friends too atm! Wondering what could be somewhere good/cheap to drink at nearby or near the jubilee line at least.

EDIT: In my true and trusted cheapo style - there's a Spoons not too far off from the venue called JJ Moon's, could be an ideal location to meet and we avoid travelling/being late as we're just a walk away.

What time are you guys getting there for?

Also, can anyone remember what time the thing ended last year? Still haven't booked my ticket home yet.

Honestly don't know that yet, have to see how work goes in the morning. My plan is to be in central by 4pm, no idea how long it'd take me to get to the spoons or indeed what my friends be doing.

Well one of my friends has decided she can't go to JJ Moons but meh from me, I think I probably still will as it's close to the venue. If you need me/can't get me text/call me on 07763 960 933(I have more than one number but get me on that one).

Fancy another fellow N-Europer joining you?

I'll join you guys! (might have to shoot off a little before the event though, cause I'm going along with my brother and sister and I'll need to meet up with them)

So, it's JJ Moons at around 4PM then?

Why no alcohols?

I'm still completetly up in the air(went back to the office, hadn't planned to) so do text/call me if you're going to JJMoons, but yeah I reckon I can be there from 4 onwards if not sooner.

I'm home! Gonna be heading out in the next 20-30 minutes so should hopefully be up there by 3/half 3ish. I'm in a black hoody with a blue check shirt(and a tiny triforce necklace if you can see it) and I'll have a jacket too(i like layers). May or may not be in company of a redhead, with a few others to join later. Got a couple of quick tabletops in my bag that we might bust out in le pub.

EDIT:Forgot to say, got your numerals EEVIL. I may call you from a diff number though so don't be confused.

Apologies I didn't hang around after to catch up with yous, me and Dedede were thinking about the sheer effort of getting home(about 10 minutes ago) plus le tiredness so we headed off together. I am now glad of this looking at the time.

Concert was great for me, really enjoyed it(although I'll agree with @Dcubed - far too much whooping and cheering for no bloody good reason!)

Yeah it was great overall! I just wished that the people there would've bloody shut up and let me hear the sodding music!

But ahh well, it was still fantastic. The Majora's Mask medlies in particular were really great! And it was good to finally get Lorule Castle music too! (they've done Yuga's Theme before, but I always found myself pining to hear Lorule Castle, so it was great to hear it done at last! :yay: )

I did wish that there were less repeat songs from previous Zelda concerts, but I'm part of the minority that has been to all of them so far, so it's something that isn't really an issue for most people; plus it was nice to hear everything again anyway (I did like how they updated the Wind Waker footage to take from TWWHD instead of the original though! They could've just reused the old footage used in the previous event, but they put the effort in instead! :D )

Real nice atmos overall as well. The little messages from the Nintendo staff really helped it feel like a celebration, akin to the 25th anniversary concert!

It's like someone was pretending to be a dog, constantly woofing. It's that producers/organiser dude's fault for telling people to cheer mid song. Prick.

May have ruined my recording. But I'm sure it'll turn out alright. Phones started being dicks in the latter half. Dunno why, the first phone had plenty of memory and wasn't warm. My second (new) phone kept going on about how it was near overheating after about 4-5 minutes of filming. But got the bulk of it. Missed Great Fairy Fountain I think, one of my faves in these events.

Nice! Obviously it was just too much awesome for your phone to handle ;) (either way I'm sure that half the people there were probably doing recordings anyway, so no doubt it'll probably be all over YouTube eventually :p )

Yeah, it's a shame cause everyone was well behaved during all of the previous events... It's like giving everyone a free license to turn into a dickhead :heh:

I really didn't mind the cheering mid-track. It wasn't THAT often, and the producer literally encouraged it at the start, so hey.

This was the first show I'd been to and I adored it from start to finish.

And if someone at the cinema said you could talk about how much you were enjoying/cheering during parts of the movie they liked*, would that make it OK? It got to points where I couldn't hear the music because Dogman had instigated so much noise action.

*Not laughter/crying, which is generally involuntary.

I was at Wembley for the symphony, really enjoyed it. I was also at the original 25th anniversary one 4 years ago. Pretty surreal experience in so many ways seeing/hearing games from long ago. Great that it was so popular.

Would prefer next time for the audience was encouraged to cheer between performances rather than during, it did start to get in the way of the music by the end. A good example is the flute, really needs quiet to hear properly. I suspect the balance would have been right had the producer not said anything.

Missed this topic but unexpectedly had a quick meet up with fellow old-timers @Domstercool, @Jordan and @Jav_NE afterwards.
