Weston? :p

The idea of a gunslinger octopus is amusing, but I never got the impression that the first game was worth playing, so I'm not too excited about this.

Weston? :p
Yeah, This one takes place on the sandy beaches of Weston Super Mare! :p

Dillon looks like a cool character, along with the others they're introducing in this. Would be nice to see what they could do with him on Wii U as I don't have a 3DS.

Maybe he could be in Tower Defence in the 3DS games, but why don't Nintendo make him into a new 3D Adventure/Platforming franchise on Wii U, like the Banjo games, but encompassing elements of shooting/rolling/battle arena's like Okami. You could expand it out into a great setting and world.

Maybe the two series could link and elements be transferable.

I'm impressed at how quickly Nintendo are bringing out sequels to original eShop franchises, it's a great way to test the water with new ip. Hope they let Miyamoto and Aonuma etc. bring small games out in between the big titles.

I really wanted to play the first game, but lack of left handed friendly controls and high price really put me off.

Unless this game fixes some of those issues it will be another 'no thanks' from me.

New trailer!

The gameplay doesn't look to be a big departure from the original (partners and train protecting seem to be the biggest new additions), but it looks nice.

Speaking of the partners, my god they look just so freaking cool! :D

Nintendolife Review:

"When the first Dillon's Rolling Western game debuted, the appearance of such an ambitious game in the young eShop was a breath of fresh air. Now, however, with a large number of great games available — and often with a much smaller price tag attached — it makes it that much more difficult to recommend. That's not to say that The Last Ranger is without its charms, but the series seems determined not to evolve, or even refine its approach; that's a problem. What we have here is essentially game-length DLC, with almost none of the original faults addressed, and that leaves us feeling relatively disappointed."
