drahkon Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Well, well. Since I didn't want to post in the PSVita thread everytime I have a question or something to say, I thought it might be a good idea to start a new thread. Unfortunately I don't have much time to play this, but today I entered the Item World (inside a Power Belt ) for the second time, just to try. And damn it can be hard. Without an item to exit the world it got really tough in the end. Had to skip the last three stages to get out there alive. I'm having a hard time to really understand every mechanic of the game (Geo Blocks, their effects, Lifting/Throwing, etc.) and every stat. The game tells you a lot, but it seems that it also keeps several things away from you. For example I don't know which inhabitant of an item has what kind of effect on the item...
ReZourceman Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Geo Cubes, basically, try and get as many geo cubes on one colour floor as possible, then attack one, and then watch as it triggers a chain reaction of epic win which gives you up to ten prizes. A few days later, how are you finding it?
drahkon Posted April 20, 2012 Author Posted April 20, 2012 I still don't have the time to play this as much as I'd like to, so I can't really say anything more than: "It's fun" Decided to delete that freakin' penguin and created a thief. The problem is, though, that the thief is level 1 and the others are between level 13 and 16 Should've started to create characters earlier...
ReZourceman Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Ah its all the fun in grinding! Also, there is no disadvatage to dragging them into a level, putting them at the back, getting mad Geo-Chains, and letting them garner all the glorious "+250 EXP" and such, they'll soon catch up! Also....GASP! You deleted the Prinny. If you throw them, they explode. In Disgaea 2, I made a Prinny in each colour and called them fruits (Blueberry, Banana, etc). In this I'm doing it with vegetables. Blue is the only hard one though. Just had to go with "Blue Broccoli" in the end.
drahkon Posted April 21, 2012 Author Posted April 21, 2012 and letting them garner all the glorious "+250 EXP" and such, they'll soon catch up! That's what I wanted to ask All Characters in battle will get the Bonus EXP? Also: EXP from chests. Does the one opening the chest get the points or everyone? Also....GASP! You deleted the Prinny. I hate Prinnys...Their voice is just annoying (both Japanese and English). Speaking of which: I can't decide with which language setting I should play. Sometimes the english dubbing sounds awkward, but the game is more fun when you actually understand what the characters are saying.
ReZourceman Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Hmm, about chests, I thought it was just the one opening it, but it probably is all. I'm not sure. The end of level bonus is all though, for sure. Who are your favourite allies you've made? What did you call them? I'm looking forward to having a gang of cats.
drahkon Posted April 21, 2012 Author Posted April 21, 2012 I made a Blue Mage, called her Bluey (heh, very creative...). Others are a thief, a mothman and a heretic. I'm not someone who thinks about names so went through "random names" and picked the names I liked. You can dispatch 10 characters into battle, right? And is there a limited number for characters you can create?

And is there a limited number for characters you can create? If it's anything like Disgaea 3 on PS3, you can only dispatch 10 units, the amount of characters you can create would be limited to the amount of desks you have in the classroom, though you can make the classrooms bigger.
