Don't buy from the main high-street stores they are all currently on a kamikaze run of self destruction.

Their answer to dwindling sales (due to cheaper online stores) is to raise prices to keep the same cash inflow.... completely ignoring the fact people shop elsewhere because they are so expensive

but i'm digressing on a tangent

must have games is a really tough one to choose especially only two of them as it all depends on personal taste

but

The most enjoyable games i've found on the 3DS are;

SM3DL; Its somewhere between Mario 64 and Galaxy with a sprinkle of nostalgic Mario Bros 3. Its a little short but quite fun to do, with some levels really standing out over others. despite taking from other SM games it doesn't live up to 64 and Galaxy, but it is easily the best handheld mario ever

SMK7, its basically Mario Kart Wii on a 3DS, with some tweaks to make it better, but not always as good - i've had about 2 blue shells per lap in a race when i've been first before and i never remember any other MK making it that difficult to keep in the lead

Oot

Its ocarina of time with a nice new lick of paint, the control scheme works wonderfully and its a great nostalgic romp through the past, whats not to love

Pokemon Rumble - surprisingly only bought it in the sale as something to try, easy to pick up and play in short bursts, simple game play and quite fun collecting.

Resident Evil Merc's - is really good it is basically resi 4/5's merc mode on a 3DS, and as long as your aiming for something its quite good, and i've still not tried it online! so if the single player stuff is good the rest must surely be a blast! the only thing with this is Revelations WILL surpass it in a few days time.

I'd highly disagree with that. I hated everything about Mario Kart Wii. Mario Kart 7 feels like a sequel to Mario Kart 64/DS.

That's good to hear because I never really got into Wii in quite the same way but loved DS.

Any two from Mario 3DL, MK7 or OoT 3D come with my seal of approval @flameboy.

MK 7 has extremely cheap AI so for me feels more like MK Wii than MK 64, OoT you know inside out but its a great remake, believe me and Mario 3DL, imho, has that initial wow-factor that Mario 64 had. :) Take your pick!

Really struggling to find a good bundle....I don't like the white console but that white console with Mario 3D Land seems to be the best option. Argos do one with this:

for £164 but not sure if the extra battery is any good as nowhere else seems to sell it.

I got my Girlfriend a Red 3DS from Sainsburys for Christmas for £119.99, not sure if they are still doing that, but its the cheapest main store i know of for a 3DS.

Plays offer works out the same with a game though
