Dante Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Shock Till You Drop = Adelaide Clemens and Kit Harington will star in Silent Hill: Revelation 3D for writer-director Michael J. Bassett. The film begins lensing in Toronto today. Clemens was seen in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Harington stars in HBO's upcoming Game of Thrones. Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is based on the acclaimed survival horror videogame franchise by Konami and is the sequel to Samuel Hadida and Don Carmody’s earlier Silent Hill directed by Christophe Gans. For years, Heather Mason (Clemens) and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by terrifying nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever. Clemens is repped by UTA and manager Ashley Josephson while Harington is repped by CAA.
Nolan Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 I enjoyed the first movie, but I'm not so sure about this one.
Mundi Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 I like this sentence: Clemens was seen in X-Men Origins: Wolverine I looked it up, her role was: "Carnival Girl" My favorite person in the film Anyway, I liked the first one, not sure what do think of this one. The original director and writer are missing and Micheal J. Basset is taking care of both roles. Only seen Solomon Kane and Deathwatch and both of these film were close in the bad to average line.
EddieColeslaw Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 For years, Heather Mason (Clemens) and her father have been on the run Nooooo, don't make this all action-oriented/Resi: Afterlife!
LegoMan1031 Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 I 2 enjoyed the first one, it managed to capture some of the creepyness of what Silent Hill is. Shall have to wait and see on this though.
Beast Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 I personally liked the first Silent Hill movie but I'm not holding my breath for this one. However, it's better news than hearing that another Resident Evil sequel is being released.
Dante Posted April 14, 2011 Author Posted April 14, 2011 Carrie-Anne Moss and Malcolm McDowell Join Silent Hill: Revelation 3D Moss and McDowell join rising star Adelaide Clemens (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road), Kit Harington, and returning Silent Hill residents Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean and Deborah Kara Unger. Hadida said: "Carrie has displayed her enormous talent across all genres – from 'The Matrix' trilogy to 'Memento' – and we are delighted for her to join the world of Silent Hill. She will certainly bring a new level of excitement to fans of the videogame franchise." Director Michael J. Bassett said: "Malcolm is quite simply an icon of modern cinema and I've been a fan since I was a teenager when I managed to see 'A Clockwork Orange.' He has an amazing ability to bring new and unexpected dimensions to his characters and I know he will bring something unique and disturbing to Silent Hill."
Nolan Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 The second pic looks a little off, but the rest seem to capture the atmosphere. Judging by the bunnies, they're looking at the 3rd game for ideas. I'm hoping they eschew Pyramid Head for Robbie Rabbit since iirc Pyramid Head as cool as he is really doesn't have any place outside of the second game. Then again....him tearing the skin off of someone was pretty gruesome/needless/entertaining in the first film.
