EEVILMURRAY
Here is the windows 7 blah blah fest http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows7/products/Windows-7/what-is?os=winxp Basically its kind of Microsoft try its hand at mac style shiny. Comparing win 7 to XP Awww but the Mac layout blows. However, it seems Windows 7 will be the future, so I might as well embrace it. At least it means I can skip Vista [A luxury I do not have on this laptop] Would I be able to take the RAM out of my other PC and put it in the new one? Ten10
Matters what type of ram was in your old computer. If it was DDR ram then no as your new computer most likely uses DDR2

Good job mine is pumped with DDR2 stuff. I was thinking of purchasing myself a new PC in the new year, not sure yet.
EEVILMURRAY
Yeah it seems to be DDR2, I daresay the old ram will be, plus it's 4GB of RAM normally, so should be more than enough. Wesley
Just take your hard drive out of your PC and put it in the new one as a second hard drive. Or get an external enclosure and whack it in there. Then you won't lose all your crummy HL2 saves.
fex
Is Win 7 much different from Vista or XP? Not being a massive windows user im probably not the best person to speak of the differences. But Windows 7 is a great upgrade from Vista. The new Dock style bar is fantastic. I found the network connectivity far superior than XP's.
EEVILMURRAY
I've just realised I misread the page on OC and it doesn't come with a OS disc [silly EEVIL] I'm gonna have to turn my house upside down trying to find the XP/Vista discs we have somewhere
