flameboy Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 Ok so the inevitable thread crops up....only because I had a look on ebay to see how much it was going for and saw this; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/michael-jacksons-moonwalker-sega-megadrive_W0QQitemZ220443618615QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_PC_Video_Games_Video_Games_JS?hash=item335376ad37&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65:12|66:2|39:1|72:1687|240:1318|301:1|293:1|294:50 £55.99?!!! Now was it a rare game to start with because I'd imagine there were plenty of prints of it as everyone seemed to own it...despite it actually not being the best game in the world, seriously go and replay it, it was pretty awful (not like the amazing film!) The arcade version was way way better...theres a JAMMA board of it going on ebay as well for £100; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MICHAEL-JACKSONS-MOONWALKER-ARCADE-BOOT-PCB_W0QQitemZ180373975126QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Video_Games_Coin_Operated_MJ?hash=item29ff207056&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65:12|66:2|39:1|72:1687|240:1318|301:1|293:1|294:50 Gametrailers did a screwattack/angry game nerd on it a while back remember reading it back when I worked my way through all the old ones; http://www.gametrailers.com/video/angry-video-screwattack/44106
Hero-of-Time Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 I never played the MD version but I LOVED the arcade version, it was great when you turned into the robot

mcj metroid Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 I never played the MD version but I LOVED the arcade version, it was great when you turned into the robot arcade version was the only good one.. it's a shame people only remember this shit version ..
Grazza Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 Yeah, I have to agree with most. I loved the arcade version and owned the Megadrive cartridge. Did you ever have a game that you didn't actually like that much, yet your friend/neighbour always wanted to play? For me, it was this game! In all honesty, I doubt the coin-op was that good, but it was exciting to find a 4-player one and play it with friends. The Megadrive game probably wasn't that bad, but I remember being disappointed the MD couldn't pull off the arcade version. It had great music though, naturally.

It really was...It was awful, clunky collision detection annoying and game mechanics didn't help... Agree it was that game that everyone wanted to play..Sonic nah, wierd little odd platformer where you prance around as MJ=YES!
mcj metroid Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 it's also one of those games that might have SOUNDED better on the snes..
Roostophe Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 I have this game. Must remember to set up the MegaDrive and play it again.
