navarre Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Does anybody have any idea of how to trace an IP address of a YouTube account? I can't settle for those old fashioned commands you have to type into the computer.
Shino Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 I'm not sure what you want, but Youtube accounts are independent of IPs, thus why you can connect to it from any PC.
Charlie Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 It's not the account you're tracing, it's the person who's logged into the account. So you'll need to find that IP. Or unless by tracing you mean finding the IP address of a certain accont.
Wesley Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Easy, just have admin access in Youtube and locate the IP of the video uploader. Have fun with that!
Blue_Ninja0 Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Not possible. Unless you find a huge backdoor hole in Youtube. You can then probably get rich.
Shino Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Assuming you want to find out the ip of someone with an youtube account, you can create a server, host an image in it and send and e-mail to that youtube user with the image from the server attached. When you he sees the image, he's ip should be on the server's log.
Blue_Ninja0 Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 ^ Most E-Mail clients have the pictures blocked for that same reason though. But if he's stupid enough, he might try to see the pictures anyway.
