Dan_Dare
ehh why not Dan Dare Issue 47 (TPB 9) Invincible is the most consistently enjoyable comic I've ever read. It;s never been short of brilliantly and astutely written, drawn and coloured by one of the best creative teams in the industry.
ReZourceman
Ooooh yeah, thats the weird thing - there has never been a bad issue. There hasn't been an issue lower than 9/10 for over a year now.
Dan_Dare
yeah that's why it's good- Kirkman has a great story and he's writing it very well. No filler, no fluff. Just classy shit issue after issue. sheeeit, I need TPB
ReZourceman
I need UC#4. Its sexy. I want it. Plus I'm looking forward to the sketches/intro if there is one.

EEVILMURRAY
Maybe, but I'm not going to be in a hurry. The concept is interesting, and I know they've based a fair few designs on pre-existing comic characters intentionally, but that doesn't make the whiff of unoriginality any less prominent. Like I said, it's interesting, but I think I can see how certain things are going to go.
Daft
Yeah, I'm not burning to buy volume 2 in a hurry. Mainly because I'd feel guilty spending that much money so soon again after the first volume. I'm not feeling the art style. Yes it's pretty and colourful but it just seems a bit motionless. Like lots of snapshots. Which is nice for the epic one liners and stuff but is a bit crap for action. chairdriver
I'm not feeling the art style. Yes it's pretty and colourful but it just seems a bit motionless I agree. I've grown to prefer more "undefined" art. Where it's not so line-y.
Dan_Dare
I love the art style. It gets much, much better later on too- the majority of vol 1 is by a much less talented artist than the guy currently working on the book. now: Before
EEVILMURRAY
I've got Spiderman comics years old with the same new art style. It's nothing special. [i think anyway... ¬_¬] Edited March 24, 2009 by EEVILMURRAY

ReZourceman
Dan speaks the truth. I refuse to acknowledge any complaints about Invincible. *Walks off*
EEVILMURRAY
dude that's incredibly small minded. For shame. I'm not dissing da style, it's pleasing on the eyes, I'm just saying that it's not as ejaculation worthy as you're making it sound. Wub?

Paj!
I prefer (from those two images) the second one. Much more interesting. But of course, the first is lovely on all accounts. But as ART, the second wins for me.

ReZourceman
Fo sho. If it was the issue 60 then yeah, best forgotten for now. Invincible gets undeniably amazing in Volume 3, but personally I think its amazing from when you've read. Hit the comic thread with what you though about issue 7!!!!!! Paj!
I'm gonna buy Ultimate Collection when April comes around, and I get money. is it similar in writign style to Wolf-Man? I.e simple and easy. Enough twists and stuff to keep you interested, but nothing overly compelling? I kinda expected a bit more from Wolf-man (based on the hype around Kirkman).
