Retro_Link Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Most likely the option because they have packages that don't include game rentals.Cool, cheers Ten10!
Strider Posted January 15, 2009 Author Posted January 15, 2009 Got my first disc today (Well one from my mums list - Take That Live), i'm actually quite impressed with how speedy it was.
CooInTheZoo Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Just signed up. Cheers for the 90 day trial passwords!
McPhee Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Or you can just cancel, sign up with a different email address and use the same code again. That's what I did, didn't matter that the card details were the same. I've just done the same. Love it! I cancelled 6 months ago because i wasn't really all that fussed and i kept forgetting to return the films. Now got a 42" Plasma and Blu-Ray player so it's worth my while, especially with the first 90 days free : peace:
Eddage Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 I'm starting to get a little annoyed with LoveFilm, surely at least one of these should be available... Gonna email them and ask what's going on.
Chuck Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Just finalised a 90 day trial. I did have a 30 day trial last year.
Ten10 Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Hmm Eddage its kinda weird that nothing has been sent yet, try throwing in one film to see if that gets the ball rolling. They may be scared about the turn around, (i.e I'd rather never see a dvd again than a game) And to anyone else who decides to sign up you can get £15 cash back from the trial is you sign up to quidco, so its a win win situation.
Retro_Link Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I'm on the 90 LoveFilm free trial... do LoveFilm take a £1 deposit for all of your rentals? I phoned up my credit card the other day and they were reading out my latest charges, and they said I had... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... £5 for LoveFilm, and then another £1 a couple of days later. Well I've rented 6 films so that would make sense, but I didn't read anywhere about a charge or deposit whilst on the free trial. I assume the charge is a £1 deposit for each film, which is refunded when the film if returned, right?
Ten10 Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 A friend of mine told me about her being charged for her trial when she did it £5. Just looked at their terms and conditions: # 4.4 Upon registering for your free trial, your method of payment will be authorised for up to three months of service - to verify your identity, and to protect us from theft and fraud. Some banks or payment card companies may reflect this authorisation against your available balance or credit limit. No actual charges, however, will be made against the card if you cancel and return all discs to us prior to the end of your free trial. # 4.5 Your free trial period will commence on the date registration is completed and the account is successfully created. # 4.6 We will begin billing you at the end of your free trial, and thereafter on prescribed intervals, monthly unless otherwise indicated, for the LOVEFiLM Rental Service, unless you cancel prior to the end of your free trial. We will continue to bill you by your chosen payment method for the LOVEFiLM Rental Service until you complete the cancellation process. # 4.7 You must cancel your account (through the "My account" section of this Website) and return all discs to us before the end of your free trial to avoid charges. For instructions on how to do this, see clause 9 (Cancellation by you and Termination by us) below. # 4.8 Please note, that any change to your subscription package or your delivery address details (including your postcode) during any free trial period, will result in the termination of the free trial and the start of your regular billing as described in this clause 4 (Free Trial).
Retro_Link Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Argh right, so just make sure I get everything back to them, and cancel before the end of the trial and should get refunded. Cheers Ten10!! Anyone else noticed they've had a charge/charges?
Chuck Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I havent noticed anything. I had a game in the post, then another dispatched but the latter came first. Weird.
Retro_Link Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I've currently got 4 films, despite the fact you should only have 3 at a time!
McPhee Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I've currently got 4 films, despite the fact you should only have 3 at a time! I had that glitch last time around, they sent me Fire Emblem without realising. They're system didn't realise i had it either. Some times you can get an extra film by requesting spare envolopes, they tend to pop a disk in as well (i guess it saves them postage money).
Ten10 Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I don't think so, their website only mentions N.I.
Diageo Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 i think gamesenders is the only one, the trial is only 10 days though
