Sanchez Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 http://labs.mozilla.com/2008/08/introducing-ubiquity/ This is a pretty cool tool. It's a little like launchy for the browser but with better integration. The video's pretty good for seeing what it can do, I've been trying it out today and if I get used to it, it could become indispensable.
Konfucius Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 That is really awesome. Thanks for the heads up.
Shino Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 This is genius! I can see this be the future not only for browsers but OS's too. Installing it now, lets see if I can find some common day uses for it.
Kirkatronics Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 This does look good, just DL'ed it now =] Dont really undertand how to use it tho =[
Emasher Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Its triggered by a certain key combination. Perhaps just watch the video again. Has anyone seen the link to download the Mac version?
Cube Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 This is cool, but may take some getting used to. Shortcut is Ctrl & Space on Windows and the Mac button thing & Space on Mac. Has anyone seen the link to download the Mac version? Isn't it the same as the Windows one? It's a Firefox extension, not a separate thing.
Shino Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 The mac version needs another install, http://tinyurl.com/6jm83k ( tiny url done with Ubiquity).
KingJoe Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Anyone else having trouble with the email command? I can't get it to recognise the 'to contact' field. Do I need to tell it where my contacts are?
Cube Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Anyone else having trouble with the email command? I can't get it to recognise the 'to contact' field. Do I need to tell it where my contacts are? It has to be Gmail, and you'll probably need to sort them in the contacts section of Gmail.
