That's why I doubt tesco;s innovation. No Sainsburys in Ireland? Dear God, man. Maybe Tesco had established itself in other places first, and maybe it took a while to get a store over to Ireland? However, their success is extremely limited being marked only in a handful of states towards the West. Wal-Mart is pushing their weight in the North American market on top of the stores in attempts to keep them small. And it is working too. Costco would be a bigger threat to them than Tesco. Although IMHO, I would prefer if all three companies went under since they have a tendency to take out local businesses everytime they move.
