mike-zim Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 i trust nintendo. i didnt think the cube was that bad to be honest. and any mistakes they made they are doing their best to make up for with the rev. i am defo buying the rev and no other console.
Bowser57 Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 i am defo buying the rev and no other console. See, and there was me being foolish making out what you'd been saying was a bit silly.
mario114 Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 It's good news if it's ganna be cheaper, lets hope the games will also be at a fair price.
mike-zim Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 See, and there was me being foolish making out what you'd been saying was a bit silly. i will be buying the rev and no other console cause i rate nintendo above all the others. so that would be my first choice. i cant afford to have 2 consoles.
MonkeyPunch Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 Hmm is that the foul stench of fanboyism I'm smelling?
mike-zim Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 Hmm is that the foul stench of fanboyism I'm smelling? yep thats me the fanboy because i am not minted. and i happen to prefer nintendo. maybe i should work 2 jobs so that i can afford another console?
MonkeyPunch Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 My comment wasn't really directed to you, more to a certain persons on the previous page.
mike-zim Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 My comment wasn't really directed to you, more to a certain persons on the previous page. in that case i appologise.
Kurtle Squad Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 Yeah...I cant afford to have another console aswell either. Not if i wanna get all the games I want for my primary one anyway. (This doesn't include handhelds, which, unfortunately for them, get less of my money put towards games for them. Though the DS might make up a good library with great games such as Mario Kart & AWDS). The Revo does look hopeful though. Reggie said that there's some big guns comming out towards launch. If so there's a high chance I'll get one on launch.
mike-zim Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 i was going to get advanced wars ds but it was that or having enough cash for mario kart. so i have preordered mario kart instead. i will have to wait and see if i can pick up a second hand one off e-bay.
Kurtle Squad Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 Heheh...Yeah, I'm having to get Mario Kart for Xmas as well as my bass *fingers crossed* I also REALLY want Battalion Wars
Sprout Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 What I've been doing for Revolution preparation is this. Basically, every week when I get paid, I put some aside for the Rev, so as to get as much as I possibly can. This money is untouched and won't be touched until I can preorder Rev stuff. So far, it has been working quite well, I have saved about £150. And the total is rising. I did a similar thing with DS, and had about £300 saved for launch, which I used for a NDS VIP Pak, 6 games and a carry case. That worked out nicely, and I hope the same for the Rev.
Kurtle Squad Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 I would do that, but there's TOO much stuff I want. I'll start saving when they tell us the price details and how many great games are out at launch and such. Start saving for it about 3 months before.
Triple_C Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 I wanted a PS2, and I got one, but I only have 2 games, and I got it 2 years ago. And I didn't get a Cube because I'm a fanboy, I got it because of Luigi's Mansion and Super Smash Bros. melee.
Pestneb Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 To be fair don't you think it reads a lot like what the fanboys were hollerin' about when people were talking about hard-drives, DVD playback and online console gaming when the Cube was the new kid on the block? They convinced themselves then that the Gamecube was the best thing ever because online gaming was for freaks, hard-drives were rubbish and nobody wanted DVD playback. If Nintendo decides one or more of these things is a good idea it's pounced upon as the greatest thing ever and all previous hate goes out the window. I will be buying the revolution primarily for back catalogue, then for the interesting controller, then because its small, then because of built in Lan ability. if its cheapest then cool, if it has an awesome catalogue of new games excellent, if it has a perfect online system great. but those things won't decide whether I buy it, if they influence anything it would be when I buy it. (ie how many price drops do I wait for) DVD, Online capability and the built in flash memory aren't selling points for me (although the flash memory is being used for back catalogue, in which case you can choose to add that on)
