Sooj Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 So my friends and I hold an annual pro evo tournament, its only 8 of us this year and, well, everyone knows that I am rubbish at football and wrestling games (I don't have much love for these genres) - give me a gun, steering wheel or super-human abilities any day and I'll show them what it means to be a gamer haha. Sad thing is, most people I know only play football and wrestling games, it really is a sad thing - they aren't real gamers in my book but it annoys me that they are so ignorant to the other games. But either way, I've been downplaying my abilities more than ever since the hype for the tournament started and I don't know who or even how the group came up with the odds but my odds of winning the tournament are 50-1. So long story short, I need to improve on my Pro Evo 6 skills. I'm not looking to win the tourny but show them that I am a force to be reckoned with in the Pro world. So any tips, suggestions etc etc etc would be greatly appreciated Who is the best team to go in Pro 6 and their best formation?
spirited away Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Maybe a specialised Pro-Evo forum would be a better bet?
Guest Stefkov Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Inter Milan. Adriano + shoot + any part of the field = goal.
nekunando Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 My formation is quite warped.. so it wouldn't work for everyone (heck, it doesn't work for me half the time ) Being a Liverpool fan, they're basically the only team I ever use.. My team consists of a tight defense (Finnan, Carragher, Agger, Riise) where the first 3 are relatively tight along the edge of the penalty box, with Riise a little bit more advanced over at left back.. I don't really have a midfield (but you can easily get an extra player or 2 in there if you need!) Mascherano sits at the base of the midfield with Alonso basically just a little ahead of the centre of the pitch and either a little towards the left or the right.. And then, to emphasize the madness of the formation, 4 attackers.. On the left wing (positioned right in the very corner of the pitch during set up) is Kewell, with Babel in the same position over on the other wing.. (I find these players should help act as an outlet for you..) Torres plays in the centre with Gerrard acting as a supporting striker right behind him.. Give it a go if you dare Gerrard and Babel can be brought back in to bolster the midfield if you feel overwhelmed.. just keep an outlet on one of the wings..
khilafah Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Inter Milan.Adriano + shoot + any part of the field = goal. lol muti-player is a joke against inter. adriano is too good!
Daft Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Know what type of shot to use. Shoot + Y/Triangle = Spankingly hard shot Shoot + Right Trigger/R2 = Controlled shot Its better to shoot when you aren't holding sprint. Look at your player and time when you shoot. If you are off balance or if you are on your weaker foot your shot is going to be harder to pull off. There are also chip shots but unless you are good with them I wouldn't bother. End of the day, the most important thing is practice. That should be helpful...hopefully!
Guest Stefkov Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 lol muti-player is a joke against inter. adriano is too good! I know what you mean. I was with friends, 2 on 2 people wise, we chose inter. They were someone else. Ball to Adriano, took it half the length of the pitch, had a shot and nearly went in. Only had a bit of pressure from some defenders just getting back. Seriously he was too good on that game.
