It makes me sad that i can only play this on the 2nd to lowest graphics setting. Suppose i should be grateful it plays at all seen as though my computer is nearly 4 years old.

Hope i get into like i did with the old ones

I can play with everything in ultra high (without AA) if I put water details to medium.

The units of this game has somewhat detracted from my excitement... I mean some of em look like toys. :/

I agree this pic is blurred but it shows that while red alert 1 had some madcap units it seemed quite grounded the units pics are real people etc.

However listening to Hell March 3 means that I am gonna be suckered in none the less what an epic new version!

Shame Im gonna be stuck with the 360 pad :/

I refuse to get anymore C&C games on consoles, they just dont work without a mouse. Hopefully my old pc will be fixed soon and I will be able to pick this up.

I so wish the 360 had the option for a usb mouse and keyboard for games like this. But I realise that opens up a whole bag of worms so its not going to happen.

People are dissing the 360 controls waaay too much. They're very good considering. The only issue I have is it'd be nice to have a mini map to navigate but as far as grouping, deploying and selecting units goes, well it's not hard unless you're a total spack. Looks like a few of us will have the 360 version and as for the outrageous nature of the units. It's Red Alert...

Hmmm yeah... Apparently Kanes Wrath controls on the 360 are very good. I don't mind just as long as I can make at least 4 teams - as I used to do in Red Alert on the PS1.

I've not even tried Kanes Wrath so if it's better than CnC3, bonus. You can make up to 10 teams but i've never bothered even when I played the PC games. You simply use the D pad to scroll through groups. There's even simple button combos to select all units of one type etc. For example R button and A is all units of that type. Remember everyone else is using a controller too :)

I'm with Viper, i have never had a problem playing C&C with a 360 controller and i had played the others on PC years ago. I have played kanes wrath and C&C3 on 360, to be honest i think i prefered the controls on C&C3 but each to there own. Apparantly the Red Alert 3 controls are ment to be 'improved' again so we shall see.

News on the PS3 version that is actually on it's way!!!WOOHOO!

While the system may deserve the "DelayStation" moniker that many give it, delays have had some genuinely good effects on games arriving on the challenging PS3. For example, Oblivion arrived on PS3 with extra content, and better stability. BioShock made the transition to PS3 with added content and exclusive DLC. Eternal Sonata also received additional content. The upcoming Alone in the Dark features an extra chapter and bonus PS3-exclusive features like "controls." The list goes on and on.

Red Alert 3 is now completed for Xbox 360 and PC. With these two projects out of the way, EA can now focus on a PS3 version, according to Videogamer.com. "If you're a PS3 owner and you don't own a PC and you don't have an Xbox 360 you don't have to write on your Christmas or Hanukkah list that you want to have an Xbox," David Silvermann said. "You can play Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, bide your time and you'll be very pleased. We're looking at doing some really cool things with the PS3 version. Since it is shipping later we're putting in a lot of cool content and really taking advantage of both the 1080p nature and the high-defness of Blu-Ray and also the fact that it can hold just so much more space."

It sounds like PS3 owners will get added content if they're truly taking advantage of Blu-ray. But let's hope that the devs at EA don't forget an oft-forgotten PS3 feature: the ability to plug in a mouse and keyboard.

Been playing (As the Soviets) and am on the mount fuji stage.

I´m liking it and all but somehow I end up beating all the stage with the same method.

Find the spot least protected use the man cannon to drop in 19 flak troppers and Natasha while assist computer goes head on while I decimate the base from behind.

Still fun though.

Mines coming today with any luck but I won't have a chance to play it as i'm out for the next two days. I never pay attention to the console reviews when it comes to PC ports because they don't have as much experience with the RTS genre i've found. I checked IGNs PC review and they gave it 8.2 which is pretty good. I think this is a game that'll be enjoyed more with skirmishes, that'd be like every other Red Alert then.
