seamus_aran Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 I'll say this; I've been with n-europe/n64/cube/revo europe since the early days. They have always been a great site that has only recently hit harder times. One of the few that have survived so long. But complaining of Nintendo bias is retarded. This is a Nintendo site after all. We wouldn't come here to read "Wii's nice, but 360 is better" (for the record, a gaming PC is such a better investment at the moment. All those great games onthe 360 and more). Their journalistic skills (your comparison to Nintendo PR), while valid commentry, isn't justified. This isn't a professional gaming site. They may sound like NOM on occasion, but by god they don't get paid the same kind of sallary. And as long as the facts are delivered, this can only be a niggle to the readers, rather than a viable problem.
Dante Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Aside from leaked photos, leaked video and an official statement by Microsoft, as well as thousands of fans signing petitions for Nintendo to reconsider, nope. All the pics and the video is fake.
Hero-of-Time Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 The fact is the staff reported it, they discussed it in the podcast AND there is a topic in the Wii Channels board. Locked.
Mokong Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 I just want to add that i find the idea that we don't talk about Nintendo short comings a bit of an odd thing to be accused of. In nearly every edition of the N.E.S Podcast we have voiced our disappointment with Nintendo on various choices they have made. I'm pretty sure we've had a few feature articles that have touched on similar problems... our new "1p vs 2p" feature for a recent example. Of course as a Nintendo fansite we are going to be a bit bias towards Nintendo, but that doesn't mean we are blind to things they do that we consider "mistakes"... in fact I think we moan about them more because we are Nintendo fans. And as already said we did report the GoldenEye rumor when it first broke, and we discussed it in the podcast.
