Oxigen_Waste Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 I need something along the lines of "Garage Band" but with Electronic music. Is Reaktor what I'm looking for?
somme Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 What kind of thing are you after? I mix all my music with adobe audition - but only if the bc900 8 track recorder i have doesnt let me master them very well.
Oxigen_Waste Posted December 28, 2007 Author Posted December 28, 2007 No. You didn't get it. I want a music CREATION software... Audition is for audio management, I have it already. I want something in wich I can start making electronic music from scratch. Got it?
Twozzok Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Fruity Loops Studio is what I'd reccomend. Just go through the tutorials it has as they are awesome. Or if you want something a bit more oldskool go for Psycle, an awesome tracker with a load of builtin synths.
Emasher Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Get the garageband Jam pack for electronic music (assuming there is one).
thirtynine. Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Reason is ment to be good. most of my friends who make drum and bass/dubstep use it.
killthenet Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Fruityloops is certainly good. Other than that Reaktor, Audiomulch and Ableton Live are great. Adobe Audition for mixing purposes. Also, thirtynine: Nice choice on the LWB front.
AshMat Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Reason is ment to be good. most of my friends who make drum and bass/dubstep use it. I have a mate who's just started using Reason 4, says he absolutely loves it. Though what he REALLY loves is FL Studio, so i'd check that one out too.
tapedeck Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 Fruity Loops has been the mainstream home users "standard" for years now. Yet I personally feel it can be very difficult for newcomers to use. I prefer a more streamlined approach. Sony are putting out some good software at the moment. (Having bought the ACID software). If it's electro you're basically just wanting to get samples/loops as a main priority. Most software is basically cut and paste (ala Ejay) now anyways. FL comes with LOADS of samples and beats. ACID Pro comes with a fair amount too. I would say acid is easier if you're wanting to add music ontop on the fly via guitar/vocals etc.. There are so many creation tools out there, try demo's?
or else you will DIE Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 Reason 4 has looooooooads of sounds and what not on it. It's pretty complicated to use but it's real powerful. Fruity Loops is alright, but I find it best for making beats. Nothing else. Logic Express / Pro if youre using a Mac. Real easy and real effective to use. All in all, I'd say go with Reason.
