GoNintendo have put what was said on the blog and heres some of the best bits that I have picked out.

Reggie talks about online voice chat for Wii - changes constantly happening, online voicechat is possible. It comes down to finalizing a peripheral. The fact that the mic is on the DS shows that Nintendo is interested. It is certainly something Nintendo is looking into, and Reggie wouldn’t be surprised to see it hit the system.

Reggie talks about online play on VC games - Nintendo mostly wants to leave original games alone. No anticipation of adding online play to VC games.

Reggie on third party software quality - Publishers are working hard to take advantage of the Wii. A range of quality titles is always expected. Publishers that do a great job get great sales. Third parties are building a better understand of the platform, and better games will come.

Nintendo has no quality assurance since quality is subjective. Nintendo is working hand-in-hand with publishers to help them create the best games possible. The level of quality overall will continue to improve. Reggie reminds us of the quality of DS titles when that system hit. It takes time for pubs to understand the platform.

US receives 50% of Wii production a month. Nintendo puts the most hardware where it will sell out the fastest.

Nintendo sold over 6 million pieces of Wii software through November. Not disappointed with 1.2 million for Galaxy. Attach rate for Wii matches the PS2 when it was at this time in its lifespan.

Reggie met with key third party publishers last week. Wii supplies were talked. Nintendo is on a sales pace with Wii that has never been achieved in this industry. Activision having tremendous success.

Its nice to see that Nintendo know that people want voice chat in the online games. I wonder if Brawl will be the 1st to do so for the Wii? You think the other online games that are already out could be updated to support voice chat via a patch?

I wonder why no one took the oppertunity to ask Reggie about the lack of a hard drive for the Wii.

Quite right about the hard-drive. Would of been one of the top questions I would ask along with the mic. Dammit Nintendo get a mic ready for Brawl. It will be great talking and taunting friends online and if you can, laugh at the american kids with annoying high pitched voices.

You know what would be a decent idea for the voice stuff, would be to have it as a separate application so you can talk to each other no matter what game you're playing, like a seperate channel that somehow runs in the background or something..

Yea that would be much better.

Voice chat is needed for the likes of BWii and having it in Brawl and Mario Kart would just be plain fun. I mean playing online when you smack a friend with a blue shell and hearing them curse and swear is amazing to hear, without it, the game feels so empty...

A bluetooth headset would work. But would also be expensive (just because it's a 1st party peripheral). It's good that they're looking into it.

Bad that they're not looking into online on VC Games. Sometimes it's online that make people buy a game on XBLA instead of VC, they'd do well to put it in in some games

Goldeneye online would of been really fun to play I think. I love that game and they can have it as an extra option for some games. Sucks that they're not changing it though.

Yeah, personally I think adding in online features to VC games is a good thing and Pokemon Snap should only be the beginning. Some kinda headset for online chat is really needed, if it could be used for games already out like Pokemon Battle Revolution and Endless Ocean that would be perfect.
