Aaah Nintendo VS Sega those were good times. Of course that's because there wasn't a big internet community back then lol

Who'd have thought nearly 20 years later it'd be Nintendo versus Microsoft.

To Microsoft credit's, they've done an incredible job in just 6 years.

The complete disregard of credible gaming in this thread is scary.

No wonder the Wii is second rate - you guys seem to enjoy lapping up mediocre titles.

And who gives a shit if the Wii is "affordable, value-for-money?" When has that ever become an issue? Nintendo = wallet munchers. There's nothing else to it.

I'm going to say another outrageous remark: Nintendo is devaluing gaming.

Well, I hear what you're saying, and it sounds to me like this: huuurr, huuurr, hurrr, nobody agrees with me, boo hoo, the Wii is second rate, maah haah haah, Nintendo is devaluing gaming.

I am glad you were here to say that.

Bwii,

Big Brain Academy

Excite Truck

Mario Party 8

(it’s not listed but lets add Mariokart here)

(Add Mario and sonic here)

Mario Strikers Charged

Metroid Prime 3 Corruption

(once again not listed but lets add Pokemon Battle Revolution)

Super Mario Galaxy

Super Paper Mario

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Trauma Centre: Second Opinion

Wario Ware: Smooth Moves

Wii Sports

Wii Play

Wii Fit

Right then, i did have more to say on this matter but i can now see that this topic is going nowhere.

Just using Game Rankings percentage/no. of reviews - can't be fussed for individual reviews:

Big Brain Academy* - 70% / 29 (casual)

Excite Truck - 75% / 68

Mario Party 8 - 64% / 43 (casual)

Mario Strikers Charged* - 79% / 45 (casual)

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - 92% / 21

Pokemon Battle Revolution - 57% / 24

Super Paper Mario - 86% / 53

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess* - 94% / 78

Trauma Center: Second Opinion* - 80% / 51 (casual)

Wario Ware: Smooth Moves - 82% / 61 (casual)

Wii Sports - 77% / 59 (casual)

Wii Play - 60% / 42 (casual)

The ones marked with a "*" are ported titles. BWii, SSBB, Mario Galaxy, Wii Fit aren't out yet, so don't count.

I find the above is a pretty poor list of first/second party titles - that's my own opinion.

Wow. Has it been 6 years. Damn time flies.

To be honest there aren't many X-Box titles that entice me, but 360 is looking much better, I think they've made a huge improvement.

I think the main reason for this is because of good viral marketing. After X-Box gone dead and before 360, the X-Box popped up everywhere: movies, shows, comics, you name it, Microsoft really wanted America to know that X-Box is out there and that helped 360's success a lot.

And it's not just Nintendo vs MS it's Nintendo vs Ms vs Sony, which is even cooler :P

Well, it was only ever going to go the one way. And, inspite of what the thread starter might say, I think that was the intention.

Well, I hoped it would create chaos, but I went far beyond expectation.

Wrong, third parties actually made an effort with the PS2.

You mean like those fantastic EA games, the Disney films imitations, the countless crappy sequels and generic RPGs? Yeeaaaah.

As far as I see both get their share of crappy 3rd party titles.
