flameboy Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 Is there any program that will combine divx files and convert them into dvd playable form?
Mr_Odwin Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 FAVC. It's awesome. http://favcfavc.googlepages.com/home Don't forget to install the free requirements. (You probably already have the .NET Framework.)
Shorty Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 And you didn't even mention the author of this program this time!
Mr_Odwin Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 And you didn't even mention the author of this program this time! I do have limits to my self-whoring. :p
flameboy Posted August 27, 2007 Author Posted August 27, 2007 doesn't work for divx files it doesn't come up when I search for files to add... EDIT: Just to further elaborate I mean when I search for video source files the .divx files I've got don't come up!
Slaggis Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Just download your program, it's awesome! I've been looking for something like this for ages.
flameboy Posted August 27, 2007 Author Posted August 27, 2007 Temporarily rename them to .avi files. I was beginning to think that was the case!from reading other stuff over the net, cheers! Looking good, loving the menu options etc...very professional... still couldnt get it to work...
Slaggis Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 It's gonna funny with me. I tried to convert some .MPG files to dvd. It said it was doing this, came up with all the converting bits showing it was doing it etc. It said it was done, and I burned it. The dvd says it's full, when I look on it though, it's empty. The folder I wanted the files to end up in is empty. There is a folder called "Working Folder 0" with loads of m2v, avs files etc in. What am I supposed to do with them?

It should create a DVD folder with vobs, bups and ifos. How big are the m2v files that you have created? Large? Are you sure the process is finished? You have to wait for all the dos-type windows to shut down. The whole process will likely take a long time. If it's just taking a minute or two it's probably not working.

Mr_Odwin Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 What is there in the dvd #\VIDEO_TS folder? (Where # is a number.)
Slaggis Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Inside the folder I made, there is a folder the program made called "dvd 0" and then in that a folder called "AUDIO_TS" and "VIDEO_TS", as there is meant to be. Inside them though, there is nothing. It made no VOB files etc, instead it just made the files in the temporary folder in my documents with m2v files etc. When it burned to DVD (before I new there was a problem), it said it worked, and the DVD says it's full. When I look on the DVD (my computer/explore) it shows the folders Audio ts and video ts as being empty. ?
Mr_Odwin Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Unfortunately FAVC relies on other freeware apps and sometimes they break. Try running the process again but in the HC (and/Or QuEnc) options change the maximum bitrate (bottom left corner of the QuEnc/HC tabs) to 7000.
Slaggis Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Thanks, I got go it working finally. Great program, nice work.
Cube Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 FAVC. It's awesome. http://favcfavc.googlepages.com/home Don't forget to install the free requirements. (You probably already have the .NET Framework.) I now officially love you, Mr Odwin.
Mr_Odwin Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 It worked for you then? That's good. Bug reports are useful, but oh so depressing.
