Tetzcatlipoca Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Ah I remember those eggs ... it really annoyed me never being able to get them ... this hasn't exactly made me feel better, but at least it's explained now!
Gizmo Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Oh I remember that. The Ice Key, the eggs, and the island off the shore in the second world. And then when Tooie came out, they left the island and eggs out completely, and the Ice Key was obtainable from ingame anyway. I remember being really excited for that, and then really disappointed when it was left out. BK and BT are two of my favourite all time games.
Cube Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 I remember getting all the eggs and keys years ago. I thought the mystery was solved back then.
ssj Posted August 12, 2007 Author Posted August 12, 2007 nope the mystery still remains, we can only get the eggs and keys either by Gc codes or sandcastle cheats, and they have no purpose in the game at all. A few years ago rare released a patent, basically saying that sns would work with hotswopping ( taking a cart out) transferr items, (put new game in) The game that you would hotswap to, would be donkey kong 64!

A few years ago rare released a patent, basically saying that sns would work with hotswopping ( taking a cart out) transferr items, (put new game in)The game that you would hotswap to, would be donkey kong 64! I thought that: Another game would unlock the egg/key locations (by activating the cheats). The player collects egg/keys The player puts [Other game] in the console. New locations/extra content was unlocked. After Rare finished BK, they decided that the cart-swapping could damege systems, so they abandoned the feature, so the "activation codes" and extra content weren't put in any game. What else is there to know?
ssj Posted August 12, 2007 Author Posted August 12, 2007 In banjo Tooie there are two areas that people are still looking for (me included, with gc scene digits). These areas were truly called in game by rare ..... . The ridiculously secret area . Gruntilda's Lair ( the tower room) Now in BT you can go into the entrance in gruntilda's lair normally. You can't get behind the boulders without a wtw cheat, but there is nothing there. But that doesn't matter because the tower room was accessible via a silo, which means you got to it via the isle of hags. In my personal opinion, the tower room was the same as Bk's transformation chamber. You would go into a machine with A Banjo tooie version of mumbo And then hotswap the new mumbo to bk. Upon entering Bk, mumbo will say that his new powers are strong enough to open up egg areas. Once you get all 7 sns items. You hotswap to dk64 and a new world will be unlocked.
Tetzcatlipoca Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 I don't see why they couldn't have just done it by memory card ... I mean, fair enough, not an awful lots of people would have one, but it's better than to leave us hanging!
Gizmo Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 It was those law fearing folks at Nintendo who pulled the plug overe liability costs wasn't it?
Mikey Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 I was fucking pissed off about this back in the day. I spent hours up on hours completing Banjo Kazooie 100% so I could use this feature on the sequel. Where was it?? No where. Very annoyed.
Tetzcatlipoca Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 It was those law fearing folks at Nintendo who pulled the plug overe liability costs wasn't it? Sounds like something they'd do alright ... though I can't particularly blame them. I wouldn't exactly relish the prospect of a possible onslaught of complaints about broken cartridges ... I don't see the point in pursuing the Stop 'N' Swap thing though ... I mean, if it's not in the other games, then it seems pretty redundant ...
Mikey Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 It's all pointless, but it's just to satisfy curiosity. People found a lost Goldeneye test map called the citadel. Pointless? Yes. But still interesting. http://goldeneye.detstar.com/citadelfound/index.asp
ssj Posted August 12, 2007 Author Posted August 12, 2007 I think we'll know 90% of the truth before the end of next year, either in Bk3, during banjos 10th anniversary or the twighlight brigade will solve it
Tetzcatlipoca Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 I think we'll know 90% of the truth before the end of next year, either in Bk3, during banjos 10th anniversary or the twighlight brigade will solve it That's quite realistic and most certainly not short-sighted anyway! I'm not sure where you came up with 90% though!
ssj Posted August 12, 2007 Author Posted August 12, 2007 because it was stated by rare in the making of banjo kazooie article in retro-gamer magazine that they doubt they can ever reveal the full truth behind sns, but they are considerring to reveal something in the third game or part of the anniversary
