Retro_Link Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 http://uk.wii.ign.com/articles/800/800117p1.html Midway Announces Game Party for Wii Another title in the vein of Wii Sports and EA Playground. Midway on Wednesday pulled back the curtain, just barely, on its two new Wii titles. One is, of course, the next installment in the Cruis'n franchise. The other is the aptly titled Game Party, which is another project clearly inspired by such efforts as Wii Sports and EA Playground. Game Party challenges players to use the Wii remote to partake in minis that revolve around darts, table hockey and hoop shoot, among others. Midway promises "more than a half dozen games" for the final product. In addition, there will be a full-blown trivia mode. The title is scheduled to ship this November. Yes it's yet another mini-game compilation, but at least it's not Midways only effort as we are getting Cruis'n aswell, so don't mind as much!
Retro_Link Posted June 28, 2007 Author Posted June 28, 2007 ffs it looks like one of those pub games haha, that it does! The games do look rather boring to say the least!
mcj metroid Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Wii fans: ' please no more party games' Midway: ' Ok we will give you a game party'
gekko Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Don't know, air hockey and darts could be cool if done well. However, it could get padded out with lots of crappy bar games. I'll reserve judgment until there are more screens and info about the controls.
Tyson Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 If someone did a 3D space air hockey it'd be amazing. I can't see anything making it impossible to achieve, except laziness.
Cube Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Game Party - Over a dozen games Carnival Games - 20 games, 15 bonus games
antster1983 Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Well I'm not sold... I'll stick with SEGA Presents Touch Darts on the DS for now, until PDC World Championship Darts 2008 comes out later this year
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Wii fans: ' please no more party games' Midway: ' Ok we will give you a game party' I laughed at that. Completely true, as well. Hmm, they could have at least added online play or something. Make it worth our while.
