thirtynine. Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 I was just wonderng if anyone can recomend me a wireless adaptor that they can confirm works with vista (the one i used for XP dosent work) so any help?
thirtynine. Posted April 24, 2007 Author Posted April 24, 2007 Preforablyz USB if you please, but I am open to being advised otherwise.
McPhee Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 What is you're current one? Only one i know for a fact works is the Netgear WG111T because i was using it up until Acer released drivers for my PCI card. Oh and the Broadcomm 205, which is the card inside my laptop
Guest Jordan Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 I had to get a Ralink driver for a Belkin wireless card, even then it was extremely buggy and had to switch to wired networking. My laptop which has Vista on it uses a wireless, god knows what it is though... but i've had no problems.
thirtynine. Posted April 25, 2007 Author Posted April 25, 2007 word. I have a wired connection but my 360 needs some interweb loving and buying a wireless adaptor for my pc is a hell of a alot cheaper than one for my 360.
McPhee Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 So you're after a wireless adaptor so you can put you're 360 through you're PC? You could use one of these: http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/cat/Wireless/subcat/Games-Adapters-/-Bridges £10 off if you go through Google Checkout so they're a pretty reasonable price and you could put you're 360 and PC into them making both wireless for about £30! A lot less hassle than ICS and Network Bridging
thirtynine. Posted April 25, 2007 Author Posted April 25, 2007 Well my current set up is a 12meter network cable from the basment where the router is to my bedroom. Since I am going to be playing online on my 360 i figured that using a wired connection would be a better idea. The wireless adaptor i got with my router wont work on vista as orange broadband lick balls and havent sorted out any drivers yet. Do you think it would be easyer to get a pci wireless card rather than USB?

scott26985 Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Linksys works for me. and a dell one I got from ebay.
Slaggis Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Zyxel G-202. Seriously cheap. great products. Supports vista. You dont even need to install the sofware, Vista just makes it work instantly
McPhee Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 So the moral of the story seems to be dont buy Belkin then? lol...
Cube Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 On a related note, what about a cheap bluetooth dongle for Vista?
Tellyn Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 So the moral of the story seems to be dont buy Belkin then? lol... I got a Belkin Wireless G+ MIMO Router the other day and it works fine with my internet, 360 and Wii.
Letty Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 So i wasn't the only one that had problems with Belkin products. I got wired in the end
Raining_again Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 I got wired in the end Yeah...me too. Which involved about 30m of cable and my dad spending an hour in the attic.
