Extremely tempted... When was this released, is anyone else getting it or played it before?

I have Densetsu No Stafi, Densetsu No Stafi 2 and Densetsu No Stafi 4 (the latest is for the DS, the previous three for the GBA). The games are extremely fun, but also extremely easy. In a lot of ways the games kind of resemble the Kirby series, and have some decent and colorful graphics (the character's animations are really "cute", especially Stafi running...), the soundtrack is catchy, and the games are fun. They are clearly designed for a younger audience (my younger brother loves Stafi so much I bought him the latest game; I'm sure this game would sell outside of Japan, so it's a shame they never received English releases), but don't let this comment "scare" you. I'm 26 and I have three of the four Stafi games (and I'll end up picking up the third sooner or later), so they certainly have to have some interest for an "older" audience too. If you enjoy 2D "old-school" platformers, you'll probably have fun with it.

Around £18

seriously?! I didn't think you were meant to get charged VAT unless the goods were over a certain amount, I've bought quite a few games off them and have never been hit with this problem.

It sucks, I blame UPS, I think it was them, who delivered it. Although Play-Asia could have warned me...I couldn't refuse to pay since I had already paid for the goods...oh well. I doubt I will use Play-Asia again...just in case...

What did you order and how much was it? How come you used UPS? I go for Air Economy, which is a lot cheaper and less likely to get hit by customs.

--------------------------------

The limit is £18 (or £36 for gifts).

According to the DVD Forums, if the total value of goods in the package that are liable to duty and VAT is less than £18 WITHOUT P&P, you will not be liable for a charge. If the total value of goods in the package exceeds £18, the VAT and duty is charged on the total value of the goods INCLUDING P&P.

The import tax is made up of this:

* Customs (Import) Duty of 3.5%

* VAT @ 17.5% - the VAT is charged on the value of the goods PLUS the customs duty

* Administration charge of the courier

The admin charges range from £4 (Royal Mail) to £11 (UPS).

My order was about £35, I used UPS because it was the quickest...I'm pretty sure I was ripped off but tbh it happend about 2 or 3 months ago so I'm not really bothered about it now. Next time I will just be more careful...
