SimonM7 Posted January 28, 2007 Share Posted January 28, 2007 I've been spending some quality time with Wii Sports now (got my Wii this.. week (ahk, took some determination to avoid cheap wordplay)) and I must say it's better than I thought it'd be, despite thinking it'd be really good. Why? Because the way Miis are used is more endearing than I thought it'd be with their plasticy playmobile children looks. So, I've tried to wrap my head around what other "Wii" games are coming out in addition to Wii Play and this. There's a music thingy of some sort coming aswell yeah? What seems to be on the horizon? david.dakota Posted January 28, 2007 Share Posted January 28, 2007 There are loads of titles coming up: Mario Galaxy, Batallion Wars 2, Metroid Prime 3, Sonic, Eledees (AKA Elebits)just for starters. If your looking at more simple games, check out Wario Ware (also uses Mii avatars), ExciteTruck, Wii Music (no date as yet), Big Brain Academy, Mario Party 8. Wii Motor Sports will surely involve your Miis, as will Wii Music (if we ever hear any details on that!) and I would presume they will show up in many other games as well. I've spotted my Mii in WarioWare already, all-be-it not a playable character. Cube Posted January 28, 2007 Share Posted January 28, 2007 Wario Ware uses Miis in a few different "styles": - The plastic "playmobile" style - 2D "cartoon" image - More realistic style, proper legs/arms/feet/hands, properly proportioned head, small breasts on female Miis, etc. I can't wait to see what other "styles" Nintendo use. (I expected it to be a while before the slightly-more-realistic style that Wario Ware uses appeared, but I still predicted that games could use them differently). I've spotted my Mii in WarioWare already, all-be-it not a playable character. You know, it's odd. On release lists I've seen, Wii Music comes up, yet Wii Motor Sports doesn't. I have the feeling it's been silently cancelled. Perhaps that flying demo will be part of a Wii Sports 2, or even better, Pilotwings. Then again, I could just be talking crazy. Just by the name of it I'm excited. About the different styles in warioware, is there a screengrab of this anywhere comparing them?
