Hellfire Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Does the classic controller work with GC games? Playing TS2 with it would rock.
Strange Cookie Posted December 16, 2006 Author Posted December 16, 2006 Does the classic controller work with GC games? Nope, it doesn't. GC-controllers are the way to go. but next time read the manual instead of using us as instruction manuals Actually, the manual doesn't say anything about it. But in the end, both methods are valid, so that should end this discussion. Everyone is free to eject GC-discs the way they see fit. I said I prefer it for me personally (Let just say I didn't got the disc-scratching story from thinking, but from experience. I bow my head in shame... ), not that it's the only valid way. Peace, and no hard feelings! : peace:
Fierce_LiNk Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 I haven't actually played a GC game, yet. I've inserted a gamecube disc into the drive, but that was for my own amusement. Yes, it's true. I love how the drive works. I still go oooo and ahhh when I insert a disc.
Strange Cookie Posted December 16, 2006 Author Posted December 16, 2006 It's witchcraft, I tell ye! Either that or there are little dwarfpeople inside our Wii's.
Jasper Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Probably those little dwarfs. Nintendo cleared out their local B&Q of magic in creating Zelda. "Let just say I didn't got the disc-scratching story from thinking, but from experience. I bow my head in shame..." - Don't complain when your shoes get worn off the day after u bought them. Because that's what they do. Just believe me that the discs are not being scratched by disc readers. By dust, okay, that can appear to be little scratches. But not from disc drives. And about that thinking thing: I mean that you should think about your story before saying it or believing it. How stupid would it be to make disc-drives scratch your cd's? It's like making a console with built-in self-destruct button. It would be stupid. Now let's shut up about it and bluntely believe this. Or think of valid arguments to prove this wrong. Because everyone with commen sens understands.
Strange Cookie Posted December 16, 2006 Author Posted December 16, 2006 "Sigh" I'm ending this silly discussion about how to eject a GC-disc once and for all. It doesn't matter. I eject and shut it off, you shut it off and eject. You'll have to live with that. All you seem to be doing is bashing and even claiming I'm a liar. Ofcourse you are right! Ofcourse they don't make discdrives that scratches discs, just like they don't make cars whose brakes fail. But shit happens. And it happened to me once (the scratches, not the brakes. ). I'm not saying the Wii is going to scratch the disc, I just said how I eject GC-discs. And yes, I once had an incident with a still spinning disc, but you're asking me for actual proof of this occasion? I never said anybody should do it the way I do, so why are you so upset about it? Let's just drop this, as this leads us nowhere. And if you still feel inclined to talk about this any further, feel free to PM me, but let us leave this forum be.
Jasper Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 I'm not upset. i'm just spreading the word to think &nd find a logical reason before having the panic kick in. :-) Yes my explaination might have bein... a little long-winded. Sigh. That's me. That'sme trying to prove my point. I'm not attacking you, I'm just trying to make sense. I didn't say what you did was wrong, I'm defending that both are viable ways to do it. So don't shoot me for trying to defend that, because I can get a little carried away with that and all. Just encourage to think instead of 'panic' or take 'drastic solutions', that's all I'm trying to say. Don't take it bad.
Strange Cookie Posted December 17, 2006 Author Posted December 17, 2006 No hard feelings. I got a bit wound up myself, so I shouldn't have been so harsh. Please accept my apologies. Anyway, I've started Luigi's Mansion again yesterday. Somehow, I think this game is still amazing! I loved it when it came out (despite mixed reception) and it has lost nothing of it's charm. Eternal Darkness is creepier than I remember it (maybe I'm more of a wussy now than a few years ago. ), F-Zero GX faster and I'm going to start with Resident Evil 4 and Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door soon. Yep, never played those before. Yep, I know it's a damn shame. Call it repentance. So many games, so little time... And than I'm not even talking about the Wii-games. :p
Shoryuken Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 Anyone here having them ticking noises when playing Cube games?
Teppo Holmqvist Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 Anyone here having them ticking noises when playing Cube games? Disc drive does generate more noise when playing GC games, if that is what you are meaning. It isn't anything you should be worried about.
Samdecahedron Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 I started up Wind Waker the other day, seemed to run perfectly fine. Plus, i love putting GC discs in the Wii. Just a nice 'Whirrrr' and it eats it whole!
blender Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Wireless LAN does not work. (tried 1080 snowboarding) + my wii corrupted my unofficial memory card with POP SOT 55% save
