  1. Ok! Here's all the ones I had time to play (I hold the WR on every one I played ) Ground or Air? (2CE3-0000-0041-6A52) https://miiverse.nintendo.net/replies/AYQHAAABAAAEVHhnVfL2FQ Pipe House (BC6E-0000-0047-10C2) https://miiverse.nintendo.net/replies/AYQHAAABAACXVHhnbimLiQ Castle of Doom (5B3C-0000-002D-B4FA) https://miiverse.nintendo.net/replies/AYQHAAABAAAtVHhnyOCCkg Super Ice Path Speed Rush 2 (3E83-0000-0042-CFD7) https://miiverse.nintendo.net/replies/AYQHAAABAACXVHhnblODWQ Hopefully I'll have time to sneak a couple more scores in before time's up!
  2. Doh! Who else was it gonna be? That's what I get for not using my brain :p You can update the code in the OP if you want, but Glen-i has already achieved an unbeatable time on there (and the actual level design outside of the hidden areas that are off the beaten path hasn't changed at all) so for the purpose of this challenge, it's kinda pointless now :p (though it would be nice for those who haven't played my level yet and are too lazy to check out my Mario Maker in-game page to find it )
  3. My W1-4 course is still there. I had to reupload it because I found an unfortunate bug involving one of the hidden 1up routes within it (not one that affects speed running in any way though; it's a completely seperate path that was affected). @Pestneb Could you please update the OP with the following code... W1-4 Left & Right, Time to Fight! : 4584-0000-0052-33D9 As for my own speed run attempts? I am finishing work early today so I will have time to finally get my own ones done this evening BTW, speaking of records... Cube set a new record in 1-1 https://miiverse.nintendo.net/replies/AYQHAAABAACNUKFJ7KMx6w And 1-3! https://miiverse.nintendo.net/replies/AYQHAAABAACNUKFJ7WE91w He also has a better score in 1-2 than any time posted here... https://miiverse.nintendo.net/replies/AYQHAAABAACNUKFJ7RhxpQ But someone called Wozzean (not sure who that is; may not even be someone from N-E...) managed to pull off 480! https://miiverse.nintendo.net/replies/AYQHAAABAAAtVHhnxnjyNA So whoever they are, they currently hold the W1-2 record : peace: Just to make things more interesting though... These are my own records W1-2 W1-3 (Yes this is really possible! In fact you could probably shave off a couple more seconds if you take a slightly altered version of the intended route )
  4. Or this masterpiece :p I do still think that MTUS's box art is still a placeholder though. It's really really basic and they've been putting a lot of effort into their box art in recent years...
  5. Especially that plushie! Jesus! How horrifying!
  6. Sigh... Nothing again this week I'd guess that it's probably because there's a lot of other stuff coming out this week on Wii U (including Skylanders - which they have a partnership with Activision for with the Bowser/DK cameos)
  7. Aaaannnddd here's another one (don't worry, it's nowhere near as hard as Bonus 1 - try and see if you can do it without getting hit though!) You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. View post in Miiverse There's a hidden path along the way too... Not too difficult to find, but you may get to inflict some sweet payback if you can find it @RedShell Congrats on sticking it out to the end on Bonus 1! : peace: I probably did make it too tough for most people to beat, but it simply wouldn't be nearly as funny if the Green Demon didn't hunt you down relentlessly! Gotta have those close shaves!
  8. Yeah, it's actually possible to get more than a 100% score (I'm not sure what the actual max is - probably depends on the song). Crazy stuff! : peace:
  9. Hopefully. The first game just ended up just putting me to sleep. It's a shame cause it did have some neat ideas but the long drawn out battles and non-existent strategy made the overall experience a total snooze fest for me.
  10. Right guys! My latest level is up! It doesn't follow the same rules as my last four... Let's just say that You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. View post in Miiverse For those who don't understand the context, see this if you want to see where the inspiration for this level came from!
  11. I don't think that the shown form factor is meant to be representative of any specific upcoming device really (notice how it lacks even start/select buttons?), but just for demonstration purposes focusing on the actual innovation (the shoulder wheel buttons)
  12. Why can't we have all of these characters appear in a game that isn't crap?
  13. Oh yeah! I knew I forgot something! Cheers for making the thread for me! : peace: I would be playing it if my sister hadn't obsessively commandeered it when she took it off me But yeah, it's good stuff. While the backgrounds aren't nearly as loony as the PS3/Vita games, the gameplay is still solid (and also a bit easier on the whole for those who might've found the Diva games a bit too hard - well, except for Matryoshka here in Mirai. Eff that song right in the ear!) What's really cool is that it's not only literally two games in one (it's basically the Japanese Mirai 2 with all of the songs from Mirai 1 added, plus a few extra on top of that to boot), but with the choice of buttons/touch controls you get completely different note charts as well; so it basically means that each song has two completely different rhythm games along with them! (scores are kept separate too for all of you crazy high score chasers ) The amount of stuff to do outside of the rhythm game as well is crazy! It's even more extensive than the Diva games Also, you know... Puyo Puyo It might be only a basic version of the game included here, but it's still the first new western Puyo release (not counting Puyo Puyo Tsu on the VC) in over a decade!
  14. Finally caught up with all of Redshell's levels. Utterly genius the lot of them, especially the Wario Ware ones (I hate you for coming up with the idea before me! :p ) Gotta up my game and get back in there making! : peace:
  15. Yeah I saw that. Neat idea for the shoulder wheels/buttons. Can see it being useful for many things (even something as simple as a weapon/item scroll wheel)
  16. Sorry guys... But 281 is the absolute best that you can possible do in my W1-4 level. I tried (and managed to pull off, somehow!) my slightly alternate strategy but it only saves a few milliseconds; not enough to drop the timer below 281. So for the purposes of this challenge, Glen-i's score in W1-4 is officially unbeatable. You'll just have to try mastering my other levels before anyone else does! I will say though that all of your times for W1-3 so far are total rubbish... You can still completely massacre all of those scores posted so far if you figure out the True Speedrunner's Path
  17. You take that back! Command is awesome! You take that back! Assault is awful!
  18. I've recorded some footage of the best speed run paths of my levels. I'll probably upload them to my Youtube channel once the contest is over if people want to see the best (officially intended - if you can do even better than props to you! ) path through my levels As for my own entries? Well I finally have a few days off work over the next few days so you'll probably see me upload some best times today or tomorrow whenever I feel like doing some runs (I have Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows to tuck into after all!)
  19. Happy Home Designer will definitely sell well, but I don't see it being a big hardware pusher though because people have already bought 3DS' for ACNL (though the NFC functionality might end up selling a few N3DS', I don't see it having a huge effect). Amiibo Party though I can't see being a big hit simply because it's another Party game on a console that already has plenty of Party games as it is. I haven't forgotten it, but it occupies the same space as the Four Swords games; meaning that it's not a major title. Even Nintendo themselves aren't really giving it much of a marketing push really. Happy Home Designer is their major 1st party 3DS title this Xmas season and all of their focus is gonna be on pushing that (and Yokai Watch in the US).
  20. And even on 3DS their lineup is pretty lacking. Happy Home Designer is their biggest game and that's a spinoff that reuses the ACNL engine and assets... I mean, when Chibi Robo is your November title, your lineup is pretty low key! Yokai-Watch is a real dark horse though (shame that it's not coming till next year for us here in Europe!) Could be huge, or it could fail to take off... Tough to call that one but it could really be the 3DS' saving grace in the US if they manage to get their ducks lined up perfectly...
  21. Well, that's always been the case with Zelda games on consoles! I can't think of a single console Zelda that hasn't been delayed for at least a year :p (I think Four Swords Adventures is the only one that ever managed to not receive a worldwide delay - and that one did actually get a delay in Europe) As for DKCTF... Yeah, that one was a pretty blatant release date padding (even though it did actually get a little bit more polish as a result). Edit: Oh yeah, Captain Toad was another one, though technically it did actually get released in 2014 in the end in Europe as they changed their mind at the last minute and sent it out early (the whole thing was just plain weird)
  22. 281 is the best that I've managed on W1-4, but that wasn't a completely perfect run and I'm pretty sure that 282 is possible... W1-3 is definitely my favourite one to speed run though. If you can't beat his time, go for that one! I'm really happy with how it turned out!
  23. Actually that's not really true... They've always had at least one major game launch just in time for Black Friday in the US for as long as I can remember. While this could be the first time that this rule is broken, I do reckon that Xenoblade X is gonna get given the spotlight and a newfound push to take StarFox Zero's place...
  24. I would bet on a March/April (perhaps even May) release for StarFox Zero. So that gives them an extra 4-6 months worth of development time. Considering that full production supposedly started around E3 2014 (June) that means that they would've had only had just over a year to build the entire game from that initial set of prototypes that they showed back then. So effectively, this delay would buy them around another 40-50% extra development time on top of what they would've had before. If they could get an entire game built in just over a year (albeit lacking in the desired polish), then perhaps that extra time could be better spent than you might think at first... And between the two series, which one do you think is more likely to draw in a larger crowd to sell consoles? The Mario spinoff on a platform that already has plenty of Mario titles, or the first internally developed StarFox game since StarFox 64? (a game that also is tailor made around pushing the boundaries of two screen Gamepad play as well!)
  25. There's Animal Crossing Amiibo Party and Project Zero 5, but the latter is supposedly a F2P game that is unlocked via Amiibo purchases (also available as a retail bundle with 4 Amiibo IIRC) that is secondary in importance to Happy Home Designer, while the latter is getting a highly limited retail release and no retail release at all in the US... so... yeah... Xenoblade X might get moved up to November, but I reckon that they'll be focusing on pushing the console with various bundles (like maybe Splatoon + Mario Kart + Smash Wii U) I do think that they should seriously consider some major VC releases this Xmas - including StarFox 2. They need something to generate buzz about the platform and that's something relatively major that they actually could release on a short notice. It's has always been one of THE most highly requested VC titles, ever since the service started...
