Soul Calibur is a fantastic game, one that takes ages to truely master, although one that is easy to pick up. I'm not saying Tekken is a bad game, far from it, but SC is simply the best beat em up ever.

I nearly pre ordered one today. I added it to my Amazon basket and then closed the window. £425 is too much, I need to learn to drive/get a car, so a PS3 isn't a wise choice.

That's what I think. The game is built around it. I can understand people wanting 16 vs 16 in games like Call of Duty but why in Gears?

Well, not Crackdown because it's not out yet. I've played a lot of Gears of War though. I also really like Viva Pinata but other games have kept me from playing it for a while now. PDZ isn't that good, but the rest are quality, although I'm not a fan of games like R6V. Personally I'd go for Gears of War, but that is an impossible list to choose from.

I already have enough games to play. And eventually there will be some good films on HD DVD and there isn't going to be a price drop any time soon. I could also afford a PS2/3 if I wated one. But I don't.

I'm saying I don't like FPS' that much, and I've played Crackdown and really like it. And yes I bought a HD DVD drive and not a PS2.

I actually quite like Red Steel. Can't complain for free can I?

Sorry, at what point did I compare it to Halo 3? I said I'm looking forward to it more than Halo 3. I ordered one Sunday. I'm sure I posted it here. Should be getting it today.

Lol, I've been trying to cut down a bit recently. And also, I'm more looking forward to Crackdown than Halo 3.

Crackdown = Awesome. FFXII = I don't own a PS2.

I had forgotten about Crackdown, although I probably wont want to just sit and play that non stop for 2 days. I'll be online either way and if people are playing Gears then so will I. Unless I'm playing Zelda which I've finally gotten back into.

According to guys at 1up it doesn't do 720p on PS3. Just 480p.

You up for some more Gears one night this week? I've been reading some tips, still trying to get decent at the game.

That's my goal as well, really I just want to catch up on the story, and get somewhere near to respactable at the game (not going to happen). I kind of got bored of Gears of War because practically everyone is better than me at the game, and when you're pretty much not in the game, it's no fun. Which is probably why I'm not exactly hyped up for Halo 3. Everyone will already be good at the game from Halo 2.

I cancelled a couple of Gameplay orders and ordered this instead. Not expecting the world but used my £10 discount from the Wii launch/Gameplay crap, to get it for £25. Oh, and yes Gameplay will almost definitely get you the order on the Thursday. They've never let me down.

Low expectations really are the way to go! I had a really nice surprise earlier today, woke up and my mom said I had a package, which left me confused because I hadn't ordered anything. Turns out it was Red Steel, my free game from the whole Wii/Gameplay thing, which I didn't think I was getting. Played a bit of it and it's actually a decent game. Certainly not as crap as the reviews have said. Controls are a bit tricky at first, but I'm getting into it. Not a bad addition to the collection imo.

And mine. I think this whole graphics thing is a tough one. At the end of the day, I think it was right for Nintendo to be able to offer a cheap system (by that I mean there's room for a price drop), the system looks great, and it's small, but most importantly, games are far cheaper to make on Wii than 360 and PS3. Gamecube already struggled for games, and so far, yes, we are getting shite games, but at least we're getting something. Also, if developers pull their fingers out and get creative with the WiiI'll be more than happy. That's why I like DS, because it was weird, quirky, and original games, like EBA, Hotel Dusk etc. I want something different to 360 (I own one and love it btw), and maybe Nintendo did have to keep low spec graphics to convince developers to make games for the system.

I actually like the 3d Dreamcast Sonics, and they actually got ok reviews, and a lot of people have forgotten how decent Adventure 1 was, in light of the recent turd Sega have served up. It annoys me reading a magazing (eg. Gamesmaster) and reading about how rubbish Sonic has been in 3d, when they've given Sonic Adventure 87%, and Adventure 2 90%, and then Sonic Heroes 78%. It's like... these aren't awful scores.

I'm gonna play some more Viva Pinata this week, see if I can get 1000 points in it. Not doing it to be a points whore, just want to have the achievement of getting all the points in a game. Press A on your gamercard on your 360 and then 'View Rep'.
