  1. I'm quite surprised that everyone seems to be getting quite a few games on launch day as well. I tend not to because I tend to play through 10 minutes of each game if I buy too many. I hope Nintendo stick Wii Sports in with the console, because I'd like to have something to show the family what this console is all about (no one really cares about GameCube in my house apart from me). When I get Nintendogs for DS I know everyone is going to be interested in it.
  2. This will sound scary for any bloke, but I would suggest getting your hairdresser to use thinning scissors. Worked well on my hair, although my hair isn't majorly long, and isn't stupidly thick. You could give it a try.
  3. A knife in the back from my favourite player. I now hate him. After the faith Jol showed in him, he was going nowhere and now look at him. Seriously pissed off with him. And he will improve Utd so much, which will obviously make it more difficult for us (Spurs) to challenge at the top of the table. Still, bring on Huddlestone
  4. Depending on reviews, I've decided that I may get Excite Truck and Red Steel aswell as Zelda and Monkey Ball.
  5. Excellent, I loved the first one on the Dreamcast and this thread has inspired me to go and buy the it.
  6. They actually gave Mario Sunshine 8.0 I think. I enjoyed it first time through. I'd say, look over a variety of reviews like you said, because at the end of the day a review is just another guys opinion.
  7. Exactly. Like Mariosmentor said, there are a few issues with the iPod, but nothing too big. People talk about iPods as if they are these items that break if you just look at them.
  8. I did not know that. 6.4 for Mario Kart?! Forget what I said. Trust no one!!
  9. Lol, I actually agree with all of that. The most annoying thing is not having a plug to charge it wherever. If I go away somewhere I have to buy a £20 adapter to charge it. Very annoying. If you could use iTunes with any other mp3 player I'm not sure I'd use iPod. Still, the whole iTunes thing outweighs the other issues for me atm.
  10. Yeah cheers, I'll definitely going to look into that Burnout deal, I also want to get Kameo and PGR3. I'm also interested in Viva Pinata, but since the Wii will be out at around the same time as I can afford to buy an Xbox then it may have to wait. Still, hope to see you guys on Live by the end of the year.
  11. In less than 2 months I will finally be able to afford an Xbox 360! Not sure whether to get one or not though. Anyone care to list a few reasons why I should get one? Right now my only real reasons are that a fair few games are not out on Wii and I really want something HD for my HDTV. Is it worth it? Can't decide :-(
  12. Buy another one. It's worth it. Then get Shenmue II. And make sure you have Soul Calibur. And Virtua Tennis. And a version of Crazy Taxi. Grandia II and Skies of Arcadia are worth your time aswell. Ahh I could go on all day...
  13. Well apart from things like controls becoming better in the Wind Waker to drop the score slightly, I'm pretty sure they gave that to the Master Quest and not the actual OOT game. I do agree with what most have said in this thread, all of the changes to scores, for me, makes reviews redundant. Why should I believe a review if a few months later you are going to change it as if you made a mistake. Stick with Gamespot.
  14. Lol me too, I only noticed when you mentioned it.
  15. Jurassic park :awesome:
  16. I don't really have a list anymore. With the DS arriving in a couple of weeks, I think I may just buy my games on that. There isn't really anything on GC that interests me, although Paper Mario looks alright. Probably wont get it though.
  17. I can't find it anywhere. I do like the Official Mag though, its pretty big and offers more DS stuff, so might just stick with that.
  18. I don't think they do but someone else would have to confirm that. About the iPod thing, not all of them break after a year. You only hear about a small percentage that break. It would be pointless for people to start threads claiming that their iPod is still working fine. Also, if it does break Apple's replacement service is very good. I recieved a new one (hold button stopped working) withing 3 days of sending it off. Although their call centre service is utter bollocks. iTunes is probably the biggest reason to own an iPod, and if I was you (downloading lots from iTunes) then I would go with iPod, It depends on whether you can be bothered to convert all of your music. Then again maybe the Creative one does play those files and this whole post is pointless.
  19. I think that's about right. For me, I have an iPod because it's so easy to use, and there is no messing around. I don't care if other people like/dislike it.
  20. I formatted, tried it with nothing installed, I've had it crash during a CPU test (when the frigging engineer was here), it also crashed during a hard drive scan when they were first testing it. If they don't send me a new computer then I'm not buying anything from Currys, PC World or any of those shops again. The next computer I buy will be a Mac from Apple. I'm so annoyed today.
  21. Nice one. You can't beat the blue swirl though! :P So have you got Shenmue yet?
  22. I like the music and atmosphere, but I didn't actually like the games.
  23. I agree. My iPod had a small problem with the hold button not working properly, but I was sent a replacement within 3 days of sending it off. Apple are expensive but I think they offer good quality. Couple of years and I will buy another iPod.
  24. At the end of 2003 I bought a PC from PC World, and decided that given my luck with hardware of any kind, I'd purchase the extra coverplan. My computer has been crashing for ages now (months and months), and so 6 weeks ago today, I decided to call the PC World call centre to see if they could fix my problem. It turns out, they couldn't. I've had a new hard drive sent to me, someone came out to fit a new motherboard but it didn't work, then someone took mine away for 3 weeks to be repaired, then they came to fit a new CPU but sent the wrong one, then they fitted a new one, and still it freezes up. So 6 weeks on and I called them to see about getting a new computer (Coverplan says they will replace your machine or give you vouchers if they can't repair it in 6 weeks). Today I am being told that they now have to take the whole PC away for another week, test it, and if they don't find a problem, then I'm going to recieve it back and tough shit basically. I told the guy if I recieve it back its going in the bin. Is there anything I can do if they send the machine back to me? I can't put up with the computer anymore. The guy actually started telling me that someone had put in the notes there wasn't a problem with the machine. In my experience PC World have been utterly unhelpful. With my iPod, after an initial problem with them sending me a box, I finally sent it off and recieved a new iPod 3 days later. Compared to that this is a piss take. Anyone else had any problems with PC World? Or is it just me?
  25. It's this reason alone that means I will stick with my iPod forever. iTunes and iPod work together perfectly and make everything simple. I don't care if people think Creative stuff is better, you wont find anything as easy as iPod and iTunes.
