Yay. I've still got my Dreamcast. It's in a box under the bed now though, I don't have the room to have 3 consoles out around the tv. Lets not forget Grandia II btw. Great game which I STILL haven't gotten around to finishing.

After reading all day the feature packed bit is the bit that has convinced me. Also I like getting new stuff to play around with.
-
I was hoping you would post, since I've seen a few posts from you slagging off Windows so I was interested to see what you think about switching.
-
But surely I need to buy Windows for this to work... My dads version of Windows is on a recovery disc for his PC. Anyway I've been reading about it all afternoon and I'm convinced. I'm getting one.
-
i reli think im gonna get one, i'm reading all about it and I really want one now. Theres nothing particularly wrong with Windows but I fancy a change, and I've still got this computer in my dads room if I wanna use Windows. Whats this openoffice program then?
-
Is it worth getting iWork?

I'm leaning towards mac right now, really can't decide though. Like I say, price and hardware don't come into it here. I suppose I like the look of the mac, and it is pretty important to me. I'm just wondering how much I'll miss Windows Live Messenger and Office. I suspect I wont too much but I'm worried I might regret it if i get a mac. then again I might buy a toshiba laptop and wish I'd gotten a mac. I'm crap at decisions.

Wow, amazing I was just about to post not far off exactly the same thread. I'm thinking about getting a Macbook. How good is it compared to Windows? Right now, I use Windows Live Messenger (i've read you can use iChat to chat to people on it), browse the web, email (I have a Gmail account, can you set up OSX email to recieve gmail like in Outlook?), iTunes and iPod (obviously will be even better), and the occasional Word document. So what do people think. The laptop I was going to get is the same price as a Macbook. Is it worth it?

Whats the best thing to do when you've got 6 hours until your next case? I've just completed the first set but it's not even midnight.
-
I've decided to get it although I doubt it'll be great.

I don't know what to say...

I love the start of Viewtiful Joe but after the first couple of levels it got really repetitive. I think when the Wii is released I'll play it a bit more.

Nah, lol, a bit over the top, but still, games piss me right off. I'm glad I got it. I've started to get into Dead Rising a bit now, but I agree with Owen with regards to what he said about the amount you have to do and the short amount of time to do it in. I've done none of this scoop stuff because I just want to get through the story and then maybe replay it later. I've found a lot of Capcom games have something really annoying about them...

If I don't like the Wii then I'm giving up playing games. I'm so sick of them. I haven't properly enjoyed one since The Wind Waker.

Yeah, and if you actually refer to yourself as a 'hardcore gamer' the lenses in your glasses are probably bigger than your cock anyway. For me, games are there for people to have fun with. Why does everything always have to be so serious? People swearing and god knows what. Play what you like, don't call someone a dick because they like something different to you. Not really sure what my point was...

I agree, why do we have to have the same discussion time and time again from people saying 'why do people bother with achievements?'. Why does anyone even bother to play games at all? Have to say though, I've just started Dead Rising and not getting into it. I think this whole save issue has ruined it already for me because I feel like I'm going to waste my time, and have to redo it. Not had all that much fun with my 360 yet have I? Kinda wish I'd just waited and bought Wii instead.
-
Yay, I got it today, going to play it as soon as my fecking pizza gets here. Just hoping that this whole save business doesn't ruin it for me.
-
Dead Rising, Oblivion, Animal Crossing WW, and New Mario Bros.
-
Yay, Defoe got 2 goals.
-
I know, think I ended with full health. Easiest part of the whole game.

It can be fun to try to earn points, last weekend I played my Xbox for hours just to try and get more gamerpoints than Takeo. Once I'd done it I got bored though and some achievements are daft, and not worth playing for. I wont be points whoring anymore but I can see why people play to get points. I don't get why someone would buy a game just to get points though. Oh and while I'm here, I finished Kameo!!!!!!! Thank GOD. :-| And my play time was only 11 hours. I was amazed considering how many times I had to redo things cus I kept getting killed.

Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
That Guy replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I hope I can get through a fair bit of Oblivion before this is out. -
I need to see how much cash I have, cus I'm not even sure if I can afford Dead Rising that I've got pre ordered at the moment.
-
I totally agree, this is exactly what I was thinking as I was reading through his comments. Shenmue is similar to MGS (not in gameplay terms) in that there are a lot of cutscenes and it's all about the story and the experience, but there is still a solid (if short) game in there aswell. If Shenmue III is released only on PS3 I will buy one.
-
Where can i get that from? Also, I've decided to not even bother doing half of these fecking achievments. It was fun last weekend trying to overtake Takeo but then after that I just thought it seemed a bit pointless. I mean, leaving DOA on for 2 hours just to get some points for 'playing' it for 5 hours? Why did I bother? So now I'm only playing games as I want to.
