  6. The Nintendo Switch Online app can now be downloaded. However, it will not fully work until the release of Splatoon 2 Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
  7. For Flip Wars, they promised extra content after release. They have fulfilled that with extra stuff, like levels, in Japan, but the online remains questionable.
  8. Death Squared had a good write up at Nintendo Life, and looks to be a co-op game I would enjoy. The 2 cats (I and Me) also got a good write up by NIntendoLife, but I got a review copy and don't hold it up to their lofty standards. I found the story pretentious, the puzzles generic, and overall the longevity too short for the asking price. However, it is a good game for those that like puzzle platformers, with beautiful visuals and sounds. Its controls are precise and the game never feels unfair. If it was a fiver, I'd say go for it, but at 9 quid, just a little bit too much for what's on offer, an eventual sale bargain pick-up, definitely. Another I was interested in was Flip Wars, but the online portion is apparently mired with problems, and a lack of content, stages etc. Most reviewers have said to hold off buying it until the promised extra free content arrives, if it does.
  9. I thought Binding of Isaac was out this week, the 14th, but no mention of it in the press release??

  16. 6th of July Switch eShop; Nintendo Switch eShop Flip Wars (Nintendo, €9.99 / £8.99) IMPLOSION (Flyhigh Works, €12.00 / £10.79) I and Me (Ratalaika Games, €9.99 / £8.99) Shephy (Arc System Works, €4.99 / £4.99) Metal Slug 2 (HAMSTER, €6.99 / £6.29) Vaccine (Rainy Frog, €9.99 / £8.99) Nintendo Switch DLC Blaster Master Zero – EX CHARACTER: SHANTAE (Inti Creates, free until 20th July, then €1.99 / £1.79) Flip Wars does look good, but it's so close to Splatoon 2 coming out that its going to suffer for online longevity. Doing a review for I and Me, and whilst a little bare bones, its simplistic controls lend to some fun puzzling. Short game, but beautiful to look at, with a wonderful soundtrack of classical piano/flute pieces in the vein of Vaughn Williams. The story is a little pretentious, and I'd only recommend it if you like this sort of puzzle platformer.

I have to use the internet in my place of work. The house internet is atrocious, ok for uploading MK8 time trials, but not for online gaming. That means I'm limited to very specific times of the day, like between 1-3pm Taiwan Time, making that 6-8am UK time. Just when everyone's working. Saturday and Sunday are out for me. There is a possibility that if I wake really early 4am one day. I could get on for 9:30 pm UK time, but that means sitting outside leaching off someone's wifi. Not ideal, but doable.

I'm always too late to see these, was sleeping, 4am my time, but one day I'll pull an all nighter and surprise you all, and will participate. Plus I have a vacation to the UK planned for this month. My son and the Switch will be in tow, so looking forward to some online matches then.

  22. I honestly think Hamilton was maintaining speed, not slowing down or speeding up. However, he did let the safety car disappear off into the distance quite a bit. Vetel just let his eye of the ball and ploughed into him. His behaviour after, while not 100% intentional, it looks like he maintained too fast a pace whilst his hands were off the steering wheel gesticulating, is unforgivable. A nice bit of dangerous driving/road rage, that should have been punished a little more severely, like a black flag for him. He was so fortunate to come away with a 4th place after pulling that stunt. Really entertaining race throughout, who thought so many safety cars and a red flag could be exciting.
  23. Also try and power the Switch down completely. Hold the power button down for about 4 or 5 seconds and the power options come up. Select it and then Power Off. Restart the Switch and that might fix it, too. Had the same problem myself a while back. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
  24. @flameboy After hearing about the frame rate issues when originally released I thought I'd wait for the promised update to fix the issues. Did that update ever happen? I can't recall it coming out. So, did the developer just let it die? Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
  25. I had a similar experience. Played the demo last night and really love the cuteness of the Pikmin in general. For a 2D puzzle platformer, the 2 screens work really well to stretch the puzzles above you, well at least the little they show off of it in the demo, and I'd love to purchase and play through the whole game, but I'm at a place where I've moved on from the 3DS and can't muster up the courage to spend more money on the thing, especially with the line-up for the Switch for the rest of the year. Maybe in a sale down the line, but that's far away I suspect.
