Picked up Season 2 and 3 of The Walking Dead (The Telltale Series). Liked the first one enough, even though it was showing its age in some of its mechanics, but looking to playing through these at leisure.

That's a great one for a Listener Question that'd we'd be more than happy to tackle on the podcast. Thanks. And, there's no way I would have guessed the Transition Tunes this week.

Everybody needs Ray-Tracing in their life. Thanks. I hope the enjoyment we get from talking about our gaming love comes through. I will try my best to mention the game name at the end. I listen to the Kermode and Mayo Film Review Podcast and I have the same problem with their films. I'm sure there will be loads of instances where we don't remention a game's name again, and there's always the show notes that can be referred to. Not so handy when you're jogging I know. Thanks again. We'll keep them coming.

Did you overlook anything from the ongoing Digital Days eShop sale? Then look no further than my personal recommendations in a quick fire style, that's my own.

Yes, you can play on TV. Either using a single JoyCon each, or in handheld, both using touchscreen. Some games favour one method over another, but what I’ve seen so far, is that all games can be played both handheld and docked. Some card games, mahjong, dominoes, though don’t work in 2 player on one Switch, regardless of TV or not, as your opponent would see your hand.
-
I've played the game extensively, and it's a sim racer in everything it does. Yes, you don't have to tinker with the car setup if you don't want to, and the ease of changing to a difficulty level of your choosing is extensive, there is a lot going on. Controlling the car on track though is simulation, there are options to turn the controls toward a more arcade racer experience, but it's still simulation at the end of the day. Great if anyone likes a more sim racing game, and there's not much of that on Switch.

There’s such a great variety of different games, only played on the touch screen, but each game requires a minimal of learning that kids pick up easy. If they only have one Switch between them, it limits the amount of games, but he arcade action sport games are fun for quick plays. Plus if it teaches them chess, bonus. I bought it for me and my son to play together, he’s 13, but I would have got it regardless of his age. Fun package for a quick blast every now and then.

Hmm, good idea. There may be an extra long podcast extras as we sort this out prior to the start of the podcast.
-
Well, I have decided to vote for what I really want to play. And it’s....... Doom 64. It’s a tie. We’ll sort this out live on the podcast.
-
@Ganepark32 I’d be interested to hear how Borderlands runs in local split screen mode. That’s how I’ll be playing most of it, if I pick it up. And whether you can play in local split screen and still take the game online? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Last shout-out before I count the final votes. For myself, I haven't voted yet, and find myself in a quandry. Only owning Doom (original), I would prefer to vote for that, or 64. That would tie the vote up and unless we have someone step in to vote between the 2, paper, scissors stone for the winner??
-
Great to know I can hold my own with Portuguese pronounciation, haha. Police, huh. Either going breakneck speeds, or not moving at all, nothing in the middle. I need to get back to FE: 3H, something tells me it's still a long time coming though. You should have been a guest, I wouldn't have come last in the quiz, as usual.
-
Still counting the votes. Doom (Original) [0] Doom 2 (Original) [0] Doom 3 [3] Doom 64 [2]

At the time of planning this week's podcast, which will start recording in an hour or so, we only had Sam's Conefession. So, we changed the topic of this week's podcast to show our love of Nintendo's 64th console. Not to worry, now that we've had a lot more interest, we'll be adding the confessions theme to next week's pocast, episode 29. So, I'm using this as a call out to anyone else who is interested in sharing your Gaming Confessions with us, be they stupidity or intentional tomfoolery. We'd love to hear them and share them with our gaming and Podcast community. Thanks.

I’m not living in the UK, but I’m sure any decent hardware shop should supply it. Failing that B&Q definitely will, and quite sure the tool, or electrical section in most supermarkets may have it, too.

Episode 27 is now up at our Youtube Channel.

Posting this here, too. Just to see if a few others are interested in sharing their short anecdotes.

@nekunando got his brains working overtime, and came up with a great idea for an N-E Cafe podcast Big Topic this week. It's going to be a 'confessions episode'. We'd like as many people as possible to confess to a gaming sin (sins). It can be anything you can think of, like enjoying a terrible game, a humourous incident while playing, absolutely anything. Now, if your confession is too juicy, you may be embarrassed to share. And because of this, your confession can be open or anonymous. If so, just send a DM to me, who'll be tight lipped about the said incident. We can't wait to hear from you all.

So, I'll start counting the votes. Doom (Original) [0] Doom 2 (Original) [0] Doom 3 [0] Doom 64 [1]
