  1. Christ. Was that what heroic was talking about? If so that's some lynch bomb. Jay appears in the writeup killing Jonnas - vigilante? But now Jay is dead...and shown to be an ID investigator. Something's not right about that line of writeup. So the ex army warrior is a protector and was watching peeps. Doesn't seem to have helped though. Probably a bad idea to claim that role at this stage. So the green wearing woman is still around and also...cooking mama? a dragon, armoured men, blue characters, blue eyed girl, minecraft guy, the wolf...yeah that's 9 people. Dragon...I'm thinking not spyro, unless theres something in one of the later games where spyro kills a bunch of people?? Does anyone know any dragon games this could come from?
  2. it's carbohydrates, damnit! carbs immediately makes me think of fat shaming commercials with a new plan™ to be the you that you want to be™
  3. crimbo carbs I have a friend who hates the word wholesome umm, sure there's more...
  4. what's not...
  5. I would like to be played by Christina Hendricks. That is all.
  6. crap, thats what i get for skimming. cheers you two
  7. Wait, what? Is there some dirt on Jonnas I don't know about? Things are moving fast...I'll check again tonight - am at work. Does anyone have a consistent vote count or what? Someone post it, with names.
  8. whats the count?
  9. Yeah agree with all this. I'm a bit concerned by that threat...lynchbomb?
  10. Eh I'm all for pressure votes. If he hasn't said anything tomorrow I will pile it on too. Again, we shouldn't end today without a lynch - we got lucky last night, but heroic should realistically already be dead (in fact I already killed him :P)
  11. Oh! Creepy Ok so not gman then...man I wish I played more games. But Kratos is a protagonist isn't he? Doesn't that technically make him good? And wtf with the power?
  12. with you on that one bard
  13. Oh yeah, we shouldn't finish today without killing heroic, for sure. But since we have the luxury of time we should spend a bit of time talking through results etc. I will vote for him tomorrow (as in wednesday).
  14. I was kinda hoping Rez could shed some light on what yesterday was all about, but that's not possible. What rule did he break? The 5 word limit?
  15. Look up Dazz - I initially thought it was THE dice official release LAN party - I was puzzled as to why it was being held in texas... But no, it's just some dicks being dicks. Pretty standard stuff!
  16. mmm, initially I thought it was the actual release promo, but seems not! Worth highlighting that this happened though. I probably will still avoid it for the origin thing anyway
  17. I am the pied piper!
  18. lol, zech it's your money. Good to hear it's going to a good cause
  19. Also LOL at that image aimless. Those spineless fucks Wish I could thank...
  20. "Dude gimme some room, I'm shading her upper lip."
  21. This comic makes me feel happy in my pants http://www.gabbysplayhouse.com/?p=1444 Doing the right thing isn't about numbers.
  22. Well that depends on your values. If you want numbers whatever the cost, you might be able to argue that. If you want to be seen as not a total bag of pricks, you instead want an environment where everyone is welcome to play. But it being a new game launch, I would question how much a neckbeard asshole will stick to his misogyny-guns when what he really wants to do is play the new game. I don't think there'll be any shortage of players, and capitulating this readily to the imagined demands of the stereotype sexist gamer is offensive to the men who play games and don't hate women, as well, of course, to the women who don't want to be treated as second class people. I think it speaks volumes about the assumptions made of gamers as a community. And you have to wonder about the point of numbers - in the long run, is this going to help you, really? I find it a really weak argument for a really poor decision. It's like making your game highly expensive - the sales you do get will give you more money, but you will probably make less sales, because you've gone and excluded a very large group of people. So it doesn't even make sense really from any perspective. I really believe gamers have the potential to be cool to eachother, but they buy into this bullshit too easily. What if you were a girl in texas, eager to play the new installment of this franchise? Wouldn't you be pissed off? Wouldn't you think you had the same right as any other person to be there?
  23. First reason was I wasn't so hot on using origin over steam. The right thing to do is to ban basement dwelling behaviour, not women.
  24. Battlefield was probably the only arabshooterâ„¢ type game I deigned to buy, since I enjoyed the squad based combat and well executed vehicles, even if they overpower the american weapons out of all proportion (pretty sure that 16 would have jammed by now, buddy). I was on the fence when I heard about having to use their own system to play online (rather than something awesome like steam) but now, that game can kiss my chuddies: http://borderhouseblog.com/?p=5811 "A large launch party and LAN for Battlefield 3 is being held in Texas, and women are disallowed from attending in order to protect them from misogynistic insults. While the original text in the FAQ has now been removed, the FAQ declared that women are not invited with the following statement: "Nothing ruins a good LAN party like uncomfortable guests or lots of tension, both of which can result from mixing immature, misogynistic male-gamers with female counterparts. Though we’ve done our best to avoid these situations in years past, we’ve certainly had our share of problems. As a result, we no longer allow women to attend this event.â€"
