  1. Nah, i never buy games on Steam. They can always be found cheaper online (PC version is only £20 on Amazon). I'm going for the 360 version though, managed to convince a few people to buy it GH:WT to bide me over in the mean time, got it yesterday. £50 with guitar at Argos
  2. Work aren't stocking this game! Crapidy crap, crap crappyness. Means i have to pay £40 to get it from game today, order it off the net and wait til next week for it or try and remember to bring Mirror's Edge, Katamari and Viking with me tomorrow so i can trade them in
  3. The demo still works though, which is nice. Had a blast today, it really is crap when people try and play it like it's Duke Nukem or something. Tried a few games against randoms and in all bar one of them nobody talked and there was always at least one guy "going Rambo" on the Zombies and getting himself killed (or in one guy's case, shooting a Witch and getting us all killed...)
  4. I'd agree there. I've got nothing against hunting animals for food, but hunting for sport/fur/ivory/etc. is wrong. I see a lot of foxes out here, then again there's good reason for them to be here. My whole area is infested with Pheasants!
  5. Apparently the Versus mode is great! Loads of people on my Steam friends list have it already ME WAAAAAAAAAAAAAANT!
  6. I had a quick go on the PC demo last night. Prefer it to the 360 version to be honest! Think it's the one i'll be picking up, it's only £20 on Amazon. Can't wait for this game, not long to go now!
  7. You can create a new account without a proxy, they don't mind you coming back. All of your games are attatched to your Steam account though, you heave to rebuy them...
  8. To be honest, if i was in your circumstances i'd simply be looking for a basic Intel Core processor, an ATi 3850 graphics card, a couple of gigs of RAM and a decent sized hard drive. Should set you back £350, will try and find an example. EDIT: Yup, http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk will do you exactly what i was thinking of. £368 inc VAT + delivery Intel Core Duo E2200 ATi 3850 Graphics Card 2GB RAM 250GB Hard Drive
  9. And cclonline. Last time i used them they were posting small items (like memory) for free! Prices are pretty good too, half my PC came from them
  10. Give me a chance dude :p
  11. Since when did Football Manager need a £600 gaming rig!?!? Overkill much? :p Anyhow, moving to tech as this is the wrong board I'd go to PC Option myself, for £520 you can get a pretty good system down the lines of a Core 2 Duo E8200, ATI 4850, 4GB RAM and 500GB HDD. Vista is installed for that too You could then use the rest of your budget (well, £100-£120 or so) to get a new monitor. Take a look on eBuyer, a standard widescreen 19" monitor will set you back somewhere around £90-£100 and 22" for about £120.
  12. We've sold a lot of coppies on 360 at work, i think it's sitting 3rd or something? Highest selling release of this week for us, CoD, Banjo and GH:WT are WAY behind.
  13. Filled it in for you. I visit efestivals a lot and have been on the festival circuit since 2004. Done about 10 festivals since then! Europe for me next year i think, Sziget or possibly Benicassim (although Beni is quite expensive and a bit too hot tbh).
  14. Check out the list here: http://www.trustedreviews.com/filter/mp3?price_min=nmin&price_max=nmax&score=2&section_id=19&filter=46&manufacturer=0&submit.x=38&submit.y=15
  15. Can't you just let people enjoy the game? It's getting no more "mediocre" ratings than most Wii games do. You not liking the game doesn't mean it's a bad game, clearly some people like it.
  16. sounds good heading on now! Got a game going if anyone wants in?
  17. Sounds to me like they're trying to limit or stop 3rd parties from making competing products I'm still quite intrigued by this game, might pick it up on release. I've not bought a single Wii game since Smash Bros. in March so it's about time i got another.
  18. Blackberry Storm or iPhone? The deals i can get on both are comparable, yet completely different. The iPhone i can have for £24.50 a month + £59 for the 8GB phone (the 16 is too expensive imo). The Blackberry will set me back £35/month for the first 6 months, £40/month thereafter. Free phone, unlimited music via MusicStation and 6 months of Sat-Nav. Note: O2's data network sucks. I can't get a 3G signal at home, at work or in my local town. On Vodafone i can get 7.2Mbps HSDPA at home, at work and in my local town. The extra money does buy me more than just music
  19. Wall-run as far as i know
  20. Try this; http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/store/cur_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1671067936.1226775765@@@@&BV_EngineID=cceeadefjjgejffcflgceggdhhmdgml.0&page=Product&fm=1&sm=0&tm=2&sku=109052&category_oid= Pretty well balanced machine, processor is reasonable and the graphics card will play any game currently on the market. Or for a better manufacturer, this; http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/store/cur_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1671067936.1226775765@@@@&BV_EngineID=cceeadefjjgejffcflgceggdhhmdgml.0&page=Product&fm=1&sm=0&tm=2&sku=052738&category_oid= Weaker processor and graphics card. HP might be a tad more reliable than Acer though (that's just my personal experience). Both machines have a Blu-Ray drive, which is a nice bonus!
  21. I'm not loving Heroes at the moment really, re-watching the first series just reminds me how badly it's lost the plot
  22. Already posted in the Mirror's Edge thread but if anyone wants a copy i'll be looking to let mine go on Monday. Yours for a copy of CoD5, Banjo: N&B, Fallout 3 (all on 360/PC) or £30 (offers considered)
  23. I've found this game to be a mixed bag, it's good but i'm getting bored already. There's just not a lot to it, the prologue is 80% of what is in the game. The combat is also dire and is completely alien to the game, they shoulda just left it out. I have enjoyed it though, almost completed already! If anyone fancys a copy of the 360 game then it's yours, posted out Monday. I'll swap for a copy of Call of Duty 5, Banjo, Fallout 3 (360 or PC) or £30 (offers considered).
