lol, my mistake. dont know a great deal about PS3 tbh but i just remember being on some US forum where they were moaning about $100 games a while back

Nice link Cant believe its that easy! The bank have fined me about £200 in the last few years because of stuff like this. Worst one was the £50 fine because the cheque didnt clear in time to pay the donation i make to the Red Cross i make every quarter

I dont think it will change much tbh. Nintendo will ditch the Wii controls for their next system in order to stay 'innovative'. Maybe Wiimote but for legs :shock: Play games... WITH YOU'RE FEET! PS4 will use a Wiimote style controller and be more powerful than the combined power of every computer owned by NASA. Microsoft will stick to a conventional Analogue Stick controller but release 'add-ons' in the form of a motion sensing controller and a copy of whatever Nintendo has planned next. A surprise competitor will launch a new console, bringing the total to 4. The price of video games will rise to near the £100 mark for some systems

I dont think its as expensive as people make out tbh. Xbox 360 + Wireless Adapter + HD-DVD drive all comes to more than the top bracket PS3. The price of the games on the other hand However, the bonus with the 360 is you can just add on the bits that you want rather than having to fork out cash for rubbish you dont want just because its 'built in'. If you simply wanted to play a few games occasionally you can get it for £200 with a game and a memory card!

I sold mine. I dont regret it. :wink: Went through all this myself last Monday so prices should still be the same. Best deals on the high street were: Game: Premium + PGR3 + Live Arcade + Extra Wireless Pad + Either WWE or Tomb Raider. £299 Currys: Premium + GoW + R6: Vegas. £299. They also do a "Buy any 2 official accessories and save £10 I went for the Game deal with WWE because i'd already bought GRAW and Oblivion. Good selection of games, WWE is a little weak though. If i could go back i'd have got Tomb Raider instead.

PGR3 isnt the star in that bundle, its Live Arcade. I thought the same before i got my 360 but im loving Live Arcade! Only played PGR once... Gonna make an interesting forum game, get ready to witness my wall hugging "skills" Its the taking part that counts, right? EDIT: And plus, you can always take a trip to Argos and pick up a couple of games from the 2 for £40. I ended up with a 360, 5 games, 2 Wireless Pads and over 2 months of Live for £330!

Can anyone recommend me some downloads? Getting Vegas and Double Agent multiplayer demos and the GRAW2 demo now, then probably some of the Viva Pinata TV shows. Im guessing Crackdown demo comes highly recommended? What about Live Arcade games?

You dont need the Monitor or OS? Surely the one Jordan posted in the other thread would cover you then? Remove the Monitor (£83.99) and OS (£97.91) and you're nicely under you're budget

It makes a big difference but the 360 doesnt exactly suffer in Standard Def. It looks amazing on my dads 42" plasma but even on my 15" CRT Oblivion is still the most beautiful game ive ever played! Ironically the only console ive ever found to suffer on a small screen is the Wii, it just felt clumbsy on a 15" portable

im playing GRAW's online campaign now, good fun No idea whats going on half the time though lol out of interest, are you meant to not be able to do the wall hugging thing in multiplayer or is my game broke?

Handy really, means i can spend the money Live would have cost me on another game

Got my 360 today! Game did Premium + Smackdown vs Raw + PGR3 + Live Arcade + Extra Official Wireless Controller for £300. Only had 1 360 left, the box was bashed to bits so talked the guy into giving me £10 worth of reward points. Then went to Argos and bought Oblivion and Ghost Recon. Loving it so far! PGR3 and GRAW are great, Raw is ok. Just loaded up Oblivion, looks pretty cool Got 2 1 month Xbox Live vouchers and 1 48 hour voucher so that should keep me online for a while!
