any idea of when that event takes place i know its the 25th but what time? I was really supprised that metroid and mario are being released before july(atleast in the US). That pretty much confirms zelda wii for Q4 2010, but i think they have more games up there sleve for Q4.

Rumor: Devs already working on 'new Nintendo platform'
marcel replied to marcel's topic in Nintendo Gaming
That probably confirms we will see new hardware or new game announcements (pikmin 3, paper mario 3(no not super paper mario), and Fzero wii) -
yea thats true, Silent hill homecoming(ps3) sold 140 000 units from the end of 2008 to february 2010. Shattered memories accomplished 140k in a mere 10 weeks.
-
a view of my local retailers has 26th february as the release date. offtopic: Shattered memories has sold 3,432 copies in its 10th week in america, total american sales of the wii version is now at 140 000.
-
looks like the game will be released earlier than once thought, the releasedate is now 26 february (instead of 4 march) according to nintendos official sites and some retailer outlets. Really a shame that konami isnt giving any information for the europeans, they dont even confirm a releasedate on there site except for the vague march 2010. Hope this isnt a sign for the sales.
-
Rising star games just announced the europe release date in there newsletter: 19 march '10 , wow march is going to be one hell of a month for gamers:laughing:

I hope so to, the western market has some lessons they need to learn from the east. Support the game, not the console. If a game is good buy it, dont say "oh its on wii, i want it for 360 in superHd graphics". Japan buys a system where great games come out, be it for wii, 360 or ps3. Japanese people never buy microsoft consoles, untill the exclusive Tales of Vesperia (is timed exclusive but no-one really new at launch), japanese people buy a console only for vesperia. Dont hate wii, by now the wii has a great library of software for the core (7+ to 18+) so no excuse not to buy a wii.
-
It sold 3,976 copies in its 9th week in the US, 3 weeks to go and the europeans can buy it. Silent hill owners don´t dissapoint us by not buying the game because its on Wii (ps2,psp). Buy the game because you like silent hill dont ban it because its not HD. EU gets the game on march 5th '10 JAP gets the game on march 25th '10 Lets see how it ends up in europe and japan (japan will eat this game up, the last silent hill released there sold like 100 000 in its first week and thats 3/4 years ago)

The IGN team mentioned a view year ago that square enix wanted 1:1 sword movement, but the problem was wii motion plus was yet to be announced. So i think the game started out as pretty much a direct sequal to the first crystal chronicles, then they started from scratch and made it a little more mature. And if you look at the teaser trailer from the game (new style) you see different monsters, Layle still had telekynetic powers but maybe it was more of a action RPG with swords and magic combined with telekynesis. That would also explain why we didnt see anything for more than a year after the teaser. I really hope that there not making DQ10 for wii like this, because that would be a shame. Crystal chronicles never was 100% rpg, dragonquest is. (and hopefully they ditch the turned based style for DQ10, they where planning that for DQ9 but fanboys cried. I dont see turned based really work with the wii controlls.) Crystal bearers is not a bad game, but i think it was rushed out the door for christmas(in america). The game would really benefit from 0.5 to 1 year extra development time, and putting it next to FF13 was also not that smart. But they did hit the nail on the graphics, this is what non-shovelware title should look like on wii thanks to the good artstyle, only downer is that it looks pretty jaggy on a hdtv.

Im also at 75% of the game, and im sertainly enjoying it. For evryone that not sure if they like this game, If you like zelda + some minigames(QTE) and you dont mind long cutscenes (most of them are 10 minutes or something) and not expecting epicness like zelda or final fantasy in that matter go and buy this game. And something that i need to say, for a game that has been in development for 4 years its pretty short and lacks polish and finetuning. Something inside tells me that a year ago Square trew the whole gameplay away and started from scretch, thats the only logical thing i can think of for a game being in development for 4 years now.

im happy they put it on an april release date, or else it would suffer from the great lineup for Q1: bioshock and crystal bearers in februari Silent hill shattered memories ,red steel 2, FF13, Resonance of faith, fragile dreams in march and only monster hunter 3 (and now no more heroes 2) is on my list for april Edit: Also Rising star games stated the following: Q:Recently I saw people on the net complaining about a clothing bug in NMH2 that clears out your closet and returns bought items to the Area51 store. Could it be that Grasshopper took the game back into development to get rid of this huge bug, and thus delaying the European release? For a bug as big as that to occur in a videogame these days is unforgivable really.., so I'd understand if they decided to fix it before having another shipment of bugged games go out to all the waiting gamers in Europe/Australia. A:We had a couple of extra months -ish development time and therefore the game is more polished than the US version. I don't have any specifics to hand at present, but I'm sure more detail will emerge soon.
-
And for you blood hugry people, we will get the uncensored version (confirmed in press release and newsletter). So blood for you all at the end of april: peace:

Rumor: Devs already working on 'new Nintendo platform'
marcel replied to marcel's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Okay, there's a bunch of avenues to cover on this one, so stick with me. Ubisoft Brand Manager Leon Winkler joined up over at the Wii-DS.nl forums in order to do a little Q&A about Red Steel 2. Those questions have come and gone, and Leon has since stuck around on those forums to chat up various topics. Today, Leon was asked this question by another forum-goer. "Oh, and Leon, did you already hear about the juicy rumor regarding Nintendo revealing a 'new platform' on the GDC 2010? The DS2 doesn't seem too obvious since the DSi XL is going to be released soon. Most of the signs point at a revamp of the current Wii (WiiHD anyone?). It seems to be leaked by an 'employee of a big international publisher'. Are you that employee by any chance, Leon?" To which, Leon responded with this... "I only leak when I go to the toilet. I do know it, but I'm not going to tell it MWOAAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Have fun speculating !" anyway this monday the same leon responded to another user whe he was asked if it scared him that the subject landed all over the web his response to that: It wasnt that bad. I didnt say anyting concrete. So no worries... -
Rumor: Devs already working on 'new Nintendo platform'

also nintendo denied a possible new ds, 2 weeks before they announced the DS lite. Also the rumor has been hitting the internetz:heh: , also THQ is also fueling the wiiHD fire with there quote: We have serveral titels for nintendo, but we cant talk about them yet. And then there's High voltage software doing suspisious about the grinder: IGN: I'm seeing a lot of bump-mapping and awesome projected shadows in the trailer. Has the engine improved? Kerry: Quantum 3 has improved a lot since The Conduit's release. We have some new announcements coming soon that leverage these improvements such as better lighting options. and if you look at the trailer at arround 00.22 that looks like lighting from a 360 game. clicky and its correct that the game also comes to the 360 and ps3 but the developer stated that this video is from the wii version. -
Sales for the wii version of shattered memories in week 8 : 5,312 copies, for exampe the ps2 and psp version sees a large drop in sales. ps2 from 47,907 to 14,415 in week 2. psp from 19,945 to 5,648 in week 2. (wii from 44,756 to 27,148 in week 2.) And looking at this number makes me beleve that the Wii SKU will outsell both ps2 and psp versions. And ofcource im verry curious about the EU/AUS and JAP sales.

Rumor: Devs already working on 'new Nintendo platform'
marcel replied to marcel's topic in Nintendo Gaming
WiiHD seems the most obvious, sinse there missing allot of multiplatform games like bioshock, assassins creed en bayonetta. -
thats some juisy rumor, could it be the WiiHD? i think that the ds2 will not be announced because in march the DSI XL will launch and it would bomb hard if the ds2 is to be unvailed. And it would be stupid to have a handheld that is more powerfull or the same power as the wii now. What do you think is it a WiiHD/Wii2 of a DS2?

was just about to post that, that freaking awesome. Now they only need to confirm free online and it will be a millionseller.
-
good news accourding to ubisofts official twitter page, we will get another new trailer this week. hopefully its from a new stage, we´ve only seen the desert town.

what really bothers me about the bad reviews is that they compare it to a JRPG, but you can clearly tell that its an action game with light rpg elements (more in the vain of zelda). And they give it a bad score because its not an RPG. If you look at metacritic (summary site for reviews) you can see that out of 26 reviews there are: 5 reviewers scores the game 8.0 to 8.8 8 reviewers score the game 7.0 to 7.7 6 reviewers score the game 6.0 to 6.5 4 reviewers score the game 5.0 to 5.8 3 reviewers score the game 2.0 to 4.2 the funny thing is some of the lower score reviews are the ones complaining that its not a real FF game. Not saying that the game doesnt have its flaws like the map system, but ultimatly if you like the crystal chronicles world you will like this game as long as your not expecting an epic final fantasy game than your good. And it lacks some polish. But so does disaster day of crisis and i really liked that game.

hopefully rising star will announce that we ether get both cut and uncut version (that suda himself promised) or a uncut version only. If we only get a cut version it would make me (and allot of eurogames would agree) sad sad panda's.

sales update (wii version) of shattered memories, it got a slight sales increase of ~1000 units more making a total of 5,982 copies sold for week 7. Thats really good it already outsold the 360 version of homecoming in its first week 80 000 vs 120 000) lifetime sales of the us SH: homecoming are 220 000 and that game was released in 2008 so mearly 2 years ago, and the wii version is already at 50%.

Good news guys, Silent hill Shattered memories will be getting a japanese release, no dates announced but here is a look at the tentative box. Would't supprise me if this games gets the same black box as most mature games are getting. And a the japanese are more than willing to buy this game sice they didnt get homecoming.

Sales from week 6 in the US : 5,154 copies, to be honest the sales really impress me. All these sales where accomplished without any sort of marketing, all the marketing is rumored to be going to europe hopefully it will peak in week 1.
