  1. Fantastic game one of my favourites last year as well. The circus type theme is so so so catchy as well.
  2. I know we need to have complaining about no voice chat once every two and half pages on this message board, but what does the above four posts have to do with Nintendo pulling out of Brazil?
  3. It's basically a perfect demonstration of EAD Tokyo's creativity and level design.
  4. Great video, that Luigi/Toad moment in Luigi's Mansion 2 was so cute. I really hope Treasure Tracker isn't just a one off, let's see more Captain Toad games in the future! Though I do think it's probably best suited to handhelds. Sales wise be interesting to see how it would do with the 50 million 3DS's out there.
  5. Not just a bad example, a terrible one. As for next gen Nintendo, there was a job listing re: their next handheld and it said something about experience working with low powered devices was a plus, so I wouldn't expect a Wii U in your pocket, that's not Nintendo's way. It's why the Gameboy, DS and 3DS succeeded, they were low powered compared to the competition.
  6. Fair enough but the difference is I'm not slagging off the actual game, I'm sure they're great games, just commenting on the necessity for so many similar genres.
  7. Your argument would make a lot more sense if you used a GOTY contender as an example, instead of a notoriously bad game. Disliking the stamps functionality, and most of the other flimsy aspects you put down isn't a reason not to play such a well-loved Nintendo EAD game.
  8. - It's not easy - The levels are gorgeous so what does it matter if it's isometric? - There isn't a focus on multiplayer, it's a single player game with the option of more people - Running by pressing a button, cat suits, stamps and "2.5D" aren't reasons to not play a GOTY contender
  9. Rich coming from the biggest drama queen on here. Do yourself a favour and play what most sites were calling a GOTY contender, a game that's got a 9.3 on metacritic. Open your eyes and go in with an open mind for once, you might just love it as everyone who's played it does.
  10. Someone on that thread just said that Mario 3D World is terrible even though they haven't played a single second of it. That shows you the depths that thread has sunk to.
  11. We have a new winner for cringiest post ever written on here. *facepalm*
  12. I've just been watching YouTube videos of Mario 3D World, my god that game was outstanding. Gaming perfection.
  13. FFS I'm returning my £30 Little Mac, has a stupid sticker from the amazon retailer selling it, impossible to take off without ruining the box. Plus the guy's back has a little scuff on it.
  14. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/arbitrary
  15. Yep much better analogy. Voice chat is more akin to subtitles
  16. I listened to their new podcast last night, seems good and they spent most of it talking about Nintendo which was nice. Still Game Scoop will be poorer without Greg, and Colin's articles were excellent.
  17. It's worth far more than €4, stop being greedy/tight
  18. As a side note, I'm so gutted Greg and Colin have left IGN
  19. I know it would work, it just wouldn't work as well. It's a big laugh scaring the shit out of someone if they're sat right next to you than on the other side of the world.
  20. So, "I don't play fantastic games because I can't chat to my mates". You have to ask yourself if you actually enjoy games with an attitude like that. Seems a very strange view to have IMO. Why not enjoy the games themselves? There's a reason why most of Nintendo's first party efforts score in the 9's and over, they're fantastic.
  21. My point was about your priorities and how voice chat seems more important than the game itself. From your original post: NintendoLand without online: "fucking tripe" NintendoLand with online and voice chat: good enough to keep NintendoLand with online but no voice chat: fucking tripe
  22. Both, and it was always about it. They talked about asymmetrical gameplay constantly at the E3 before the release. It's why games like the Luigi's mansion or Mario Chase mini games of Nintendoland are so well loved. Except that defeats the purpose, the whole point is to have two or more people in the same room looking at different things and getting different experiences.
  23. The key concept for Nintendoland and the Wii U itself was all about asymmetrical game play and that's only possible with local muliplayer. It's a shame it's not online but you can understand why they wanted to concentrate on local fun and not confuse the message.
  24. That's probably the cringiest post I've ever read on here, I truly despair at gaming when reading things like the above. If speaking to mates is more important than the game itself, maybe a mobile phone is more your thing, it has games on it too.
