The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

Completely agree. Wind Waker's animations in general were just beautiful, probably helps that Link in that game was shorter and more cartoony with exaggerated features. -

Posting this gif again, probably the one that has me most excited for this game. A return to Wind Waker-like gliding is very welcome! -
I can't quite believe how long the fast travel takes; it's anything but fast. I'll probably barely ever use it unless I need to get to the other side of the map. The Watch Dogs one seemed 10x quicker, no exaggeration.
-
Oh I see sabotaging it is only useful during the mission itself. I only asked because I'd finished that part, and was able to return to the factory and wander around freely, yet the alarm bell symbol was still on my map and I was still able to sabotage it.

Started playing this yesterday, my first Assassin's Creed game, really enjoying it so far. The combat is a little button bashy for me though, but maybe I'm just not doing it right. The characters are great, the banter between them is fun to watch. Personally prefer the stealthy route so I'm mostly using Evie. Do people usually switch characters? Does it make much difference? Surprised to see there isn't a good/bad reputation system like I was expecting. What's this 'alarm bell' I found in Whitechapel? I did the mission without it being used, but when I go back to that location I can choose to 'sabotage' it? But yeah, enjoying it a lot. I think these Ubisoft openworld games need spreading out, I wouldn't be able to play two of them in quick succession.

Must have been deleted. -
September sounds about right, six months before release.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

Because whenever I say anything even slightly negative about a non-Nintendo game everyone jumps down my throat, whereas whenever others post negative things, it gets waved by. If I had belittled Horizon like @drakhon belittled Zelda, all hell would have broken loose. So you're suggesting that Horizon is 'just another openworld game' as well then? Likewise Watch Dogs 2? -

Is that supposed to be a bad thing? It's clearly heavily inspired by the original LOZ mixed in with a physics playground and modern openworld/RPG elements. Proving my point? And regardless, none of those are anywhere near as dismissive as "it's just another openworld game". They're barely even complaints. -
This is getting rave reviews. 10/10 from IGN. Sounds like a very worthy sequel to Limbo!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

I would say it's just the opposite. We know so little about the game that it's unfair to judge it as "just another openworld game". -
They probably learned their lesson from the Wii and how Sony and Microsoft copied that with the half-arsed motion sensing Sixaxis and Move and the Kinnect which, while cool tech, never really took off. I still think the gimmick is just being able to play a cartridge based game on both NX and their new handheld. That would be pretty cool
-
But saying that this game is "just another openworld game" is fine? I apologise for the exaggeration, I should have said they were 160 seconds long, basically one puzzle rooms. Coming from Zelda I was more than a little disappointed.
-
Yeah I love the Shrine idea too, the ones we saw looked cool and the promise of another 96 of them is great. They're a clear step up from the dozen or so 60 second shrines in Tomb Raider.
-
You've seen two shrines, out of one hundred, probably the two earliest ones in the game, that serve more as more of a tutorial on how to use the runes than anything else. I think criticism is a little unfair given the above. The fourth shrine they showed off was apparently quite cool and complex and had to do with stopping time or some such. Probably to do with the temperature of the river but not being able to swim is nothing new in Zelda games. You couldn't do it in the original without a ladder or raft, and you needed the Zora scale in ALTTP. I'm sure you'll be able to freely swim eventually anyway, once you've crafted the appropriate potion or are wearing the right clothes, they just weren't available in the demo. Sounds like you haven't seen much of the game then and the various ways you can fight enemies. The combat seems hugely expanded from recent Zelda games. You've seen a small portion of the Great Plateau, the starting area of the game, which itself is 1 tiny fraction of the whole map. Again, your criticism is a little unfair. "There are towns" according to Bill Trinen. The world looks vast and it's genuinely exciting to see what the rest will look like. What's your basis for that fear? If the rumour of four dungeons is proved correct, I expect them to be massive and grand is scope. Everyone who has played the demo had a totally different experience to the next person, they found dozens of crazy ways to interact with the land. And we've only seen 1% of the game, according to Aonuma. I'm not sure what you were expecting to see

A lot of people were saying this game has a lot to live up to after Witcher 3, now that we've seen it, it's fair to say Witcher 4 has a lot to live up to after Breath of the Wild It's going to be the longest 9 months ever -
The Xbox One's (relative) failure was the catalyst for Scorpio. @£$& knows what made Sony think they needed to release Neo, apart from wanting another £300 off people, mid generation.

Speak to the majority of people who played Skyward Sword and they'll tell you the controls were ok, but they'd prefer to go back to traditional controls for future games. That's the impression I get anyway. I think the game looks like what it is. A gorgeous game on last gen hardware. I wouldn't hold your breath on grand orchestrated tracks. I get the impression they're going for a very muted, isolated Metroid like soundtrack, which seems to suit the game perfectly. Personally I'm blown away by what they showed at E3. I'm not fussed about the controls (I'd rather traditional ones), graphics (I think the game looks beautiful), and I'd much rather focus on the gameplay itself, which by all accounts from E3, is wonderful. -
Well done Nintendo, a big fuss over absolutely nothing. Reading her latest tweets, I'm even more convinced she's an attention seeker.
-
85 thousand tweets and her kicking up a fuss over this say otherwise.
-
LOL at "an entire mini game between them" The latest social media reaction. I must admit, I did get the attention seeking vibe reading her twitter profile.
-
If they can get the capacity similar to Blurays, I'd welcome it. No loading screens, plug and play the same game on the NX handheld (?) sounds great.
-
A big fuss over absolutely nothing IMO.
-
Ok... it's definitely not referencing her lol. It's quite clearly a watergate reference, or any of the thousands of other (something)gate that are trotted out over the years.

I don't get it. Who is she and why is she outraged?
