Would it work if you got a tv card and then used the N64 cable to plug the GC into the tv card??

I dont think they make the Athlon 64 3000's anymore. Also dont buy two 7600 gts in sli get one better card eg 7800gt/7900gt or if you dont want to put a secong GPU in later on then a x1900xtx. Also that motherboard soccket is going to be old soon and the processor is a bit weak.

check out th dell xps laptops,they are suposed to be good.

It seems fairly capable look for some reviews on the web.Also i dont know how good that gpu is.

How often do you go to your dads?? Every second weekend?? Im not quite sure what you mean when you say you havent got that much money.Desktop computers are much better value for money then laptops. The fish is not really correct when he says that laptop processors are too slow. For a good few months now companies have been able to make laptops that come very close to top of the line desktops And actually use bog standard desktop processors. Pentium M's/Core duo are as good if not better for playing games clock for clock when compared to Athlon 64's and even more so when compared to Pentium 4's/d's. For this reason if possible i would change your procssor to a core duo if you can afford it. Also nVidea make a mobile version of the Geforce 7900 and i think its the GTX modle too. A company (I think Alienware) have even just brought out SLI laptops so there is deffinatly no weakness when it comes to GPU's for laptops.

Hey man.I said id let you know if i fixed my pc and i have. All i did was download AVG and run a scan.It found 15 viruses and got ridd of them while Norten only found 1 and it couldnt get rid of it.

My pc is over 6 years old and I nevre leave it one when its not doing something , it is off the vast majority of the time.

^^^ yeah but they are hardly going to give you a top aof the range laptop,you'll probably only get what you need. You dont want to get a laptop with a pentium celeron,youll want to get a pentium M if you can,or whatever that dual core version is called (i think its core duo).Although Alienware do great laptops/pcs you are going to be paying extra for the name ant style so have a look at other companies and compare prices.I think Evesham do decent laptops and scan.co.uk might aswell. How much money have you got to spend??

If you overclock an XT and an XTX the XTX should overclock further ,even if it is only a marginal difference.

I was glancing through the latest issue of Custom pc and they said that due to the 7900 series that there is only a £10 difference between x1900xt and xtx's, so go for the XTX as it will overclock further.

Im having something aof the same problem as you are having ,i havent fixed it yet but if i do i will let you know.

Yeah ive had this done for a few months now its really cool ,not htat i use the extra features much.

I dont think it is a problem with Norten because it detects the virus it is just not allowed to access it to delete it or quaritine it. I will try another reg cleaner.

^^^ yeah i tried taht in safe mode already,i was ending process's all over the shop untill finally the PC chut itself down becaus ei ended a process that was needed to run the pc.

I guys i havent been to these forums in a few months,but i hope some of you might remember me and be able to help me out. Ok Norton antivirus 2003 picked up a backdoor trojan the other day and i am starting to get a whole load of shit on my PC.Norton couldnt do anything about it so now i have come to you guys to see if you can help me. I tried going dierectly to the file in question but this just comes up when i try to delete it: "Cannot delete winbbc32:Access denied. Make sure this disk is not full or write protected And that the file is not currently in use." this leads me to believe that it has entered into the registry. I went into safe mode and tryef to delete the file againn and the same message came up.I then downloaded a free trial of ERROR KILLEr which is a Mc Afee registry cleaner and taht didnt fix it ,although it did detect over 150 problems and would only fix 30 of them because it was a trial edition. can any of you help me out? All help advice is much appreciated chris.

I know im being pedantic here but PC 3200 is just standard DDR and not availible in DDR2 is it?I just thought id point his out before that guy uses it to try and play down you knowlegde.
