  1. Price reductions on the retail side, not the industry side. It happens in Japan just like it happens here
  2. I'd imagine that Nintendo do
  3. 1. The Wii U is four weeks old 2. There are no sales and price reductions on the Wii U due to #1 3. Install bases grow over time
  4. The reason people wanted it on a home console is because they wanted it in 3D. They wanted a full 3D adventure. We now have that due to better technology
  5. Seriously guys, it won't happen.
  6. Is this the reason there have been no Wii U ads in the UK? :p
  7. Now the battles are 3D in X & Y, I can't see them doing a Battle Simulator again unless they decide to go the "See your Pokémon in gorgeous High Definition" route
  8. It's not evolving the series, it's fundamentally changing it for no reason.
  9. Probably because I seem to be the only one here who can see patterns, trends etc.
  10. Next week could also see an increase. If you're going to postulate, then you should propose both ends of the spectrum Almost as if it happens with every new console
  11. It's not bad, but it's not standard. It's not the end of the world. Drops like this ALWAYS happen
  12. The idea of Pokémon is for you to take them with you to be social and trade and battle with your friends. This is the core ethos of Pokémon. It is what the developers continually say is the core thing of the game. A home console version would lose that. While it'd have battling and trades online, it just goes against the whole idea that Pokémon is meant to be portable. MMORPGs would need a massive overhault of the entire engine, battles etc. to work so, if they were to ever do an MMORPG, it'd have to be a spin-off like PokéPark. That could happen, but main series...no
  13. Every console sees massive drop, which happens every bloody year Only Nintendo should worry. They should, until they make it so the entire world is in a temporal loop of nothing but December, then THEY MUST ACT
  14. Shall do. I just need more money so the risk is less :p Fingers crossed I win the lottery tonight!
  15. Competitive prices. They need to stop having things at "RRP" I knew GAME and HMV were going down when they both had PokéPark Wii for £42, a year after release
  16. I keep contemplating opening an independant game store in town, filling in the gap of GAME and now HMV, but it's too risky
  17. Nintendo really have a habit of over expecting things. Typically their expectations are low and on par, but lately they have been a bit ridiculous with them
  18. Feel bad for the staff, don't feel bad for the company. They brought it on themselves with their pricing. It's the same as GAME. They collapsed because they didn't price competitively, they just sold at RRP and complained that people weregoing elsewhere. The fact GAME still do it after they almost went completely under just astounds me I've always said that HMV is a good place to check stuff out to buy online
  19. Genetically modified food can aid to the ending of world hunger, which may be a bad thing in the long run (wait for the population to hit 10 billion), it's a very good thing for humans around the world. People saying no to it typically are the same as those against stem cell research. They're just following religious views and ignoring facts brought towards them.
  20. I mentioned the messaging, but yeah I agree about party chat, just forgot about it :p It has been timed and the Wii U OS is not much slower than the 360 and there is absolutely nothing wrong with the UI
  21. No, I'm not. I've listened to you lot here complain about what happens to you guys on CoD, and I have had the exact same experiences in almost the same abundance...but on the Xbox 360
  22. Online is fine (seriously, the issues outside of voice chat and messaging are identical on Xbox Live), and lack of software is relative. There's a steady stream. But still, save it for another thread :p
  23. It is an accomplishment.
  24. They don't say? Wow...who'd have thought -_-
  25. Any change of the name from Wii U to anything not involving the name Wii would have resulted in losing the brand recognition. While Nintendo is popular themselves, the Wii name is huge and to change it would have caused damage.
