  1. I do know exactly how business works, thank you very much. Just because I don't pander to your "oh woe is me, Nintendo sucks" bull that you continue to push here doesn't mean I don't understand things. This situation is the fault of The Hut Group. Yes, Nintendo chose them to run the store, but that doesn't mean individual issues are their fault. If there was nothing but issues, then fine it is Nintendo's, but put blame where it's due. It's irrational and illogical to remove the blame from those actually at fault just to maintain your continual bias and hatred towards Nintendo. It's like here. I'm constantly attacked by the likes of you. Do I pass the buck and blame Ashley since he runs the site? No. I blame you. That's how the world works. Don't like it, or what I post, then put me on your ignore list and piss off.
  2. You don't have all the facts to make such an assertion. If you want quality merchandise, it does take time. This isn't like printing a disc to make up for undershipping a game.
  3. I wasn't saying that there weren't issues. I never said they weren't responsible for the stock shortages. What I was arguing against was people blaming Nintendo for the horrible thing that happened to your pre-orders. Nintendo do need to sort stock out. The press release states it takes several months from the commencement of production of a figure until it is out in stores. Basically, based on the CPSIA of the amiibo that have been published, Wave 5 (April wave) had production begin in January for release in April. We had similar saying December for the March Super Mario Series wave. Now, with this timeline, we can extrapolate that, if they worked out shortage issues in December, they'd have ramped up production then and so we should start seeing some restock towards the end of this month. It's possible that some of the lower amounts anticipated of the wave from last month could be due to shifting of production from them to the older models The CPSIA have also been updated to show newer manufacturing months for many of them. For example, Zelda http://cpsia.nintendo.com/100457/100457.pdf Originally it was just September and October for December launch and January restock, but they then started adding more. Ones such as Shulk started off here: http://cpsia.nintendo.com/100974/100974.pdf Just November. Now, one can anticipate that they would have been November/December, but having to restock many of the others would have dented this. There's likely to be a backlog. It may be several months before we have everything back up to scratch. We also need to wait for these to be update with updated production additions, which they likely will be soon. The Hut Group
  4. Yeah, how dare I blame the company at hand, the company who is actually at fault for the issue that has befallen with the cancelled preorders. Yes, Nintendo's name is on it, but we here are smart enough to know better. Stop trying to be pedantic to further a feud. I honestly have no idea with that.
  5. They're doing both. They can't just suddenly delay waves just for restocks. That's not how business works. They've had the wave timing planned out from the get-go. There have been restocks, they just sell out ridiculously fast still, and the manufacturing does take a while (the April wave had manufacturing begin in January, confirmed.), so we're going to start seeing true restocks this month as, based on that, the notification in December that there were stock shortages would have pushed through an increase in manufacturing. It's not gospel, it's logic based on the facts and information we have. I get you've been burned, but please don't become a cynic like some of the others here. I miss your happiness
  6. They are restocking them... they sent a PR saying so.
  7. In Rating Battle in Battle Spot, it uses the official rules which doesn't allow those Pokémon (assuming you had Soul Dew on Latias). In Free Battle, you can use them easily
  8. Well yes, but they're being specific here in their statement of duration from beginning of production to being in store.
  9. You know it's against the law to lie in press releases, though.
  10. Sorry but it's true. It's not me making crap up. Here it is if you don't believe me http://www.nintendo.co.jp/support/information/2015/0303.html There's also a difference between making something, and making it right. Yeah, how dare I use facts with my argument. All I said was that the blame here rests with The Hut Group, not Nintendo. Yeesh.
  11. That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is blame the company actually at fault before you start going up the ladder. If it was a repeat occurrence then yes, it's Nintendo's fault
  12. Overall, yes, but to pass the buck over the people who are actually responsible to those who are responsible for them being responsible is ridiculous. The Hut Group is at fault with this situation, not Nintendo. Most of what happens via the Nintendo UK Store isn't bad.
  13. Just got my soundtrack
  14. Well, we did get some reasoning why in the PR on Tuesday. It takes months for a figure to get from start of production to release, so ones coming now would be ones that started production in December when shortages occurred and became noticeable. The demand surprised them and with amiibo, unlike with games where all they have to do is record to a disc, print a label and be done with it, it can take time to sort out. From Wave 5 onwards, we should start seeing less issues with stock. I do agree that it sucks, but when you look at how amiibo are made, it's understandable. They underestimated demand (with the Wii U demand, can you blame them?) and unfortunately it takes a while to counter it.
  15. Well some of those aren't Nintendo's fault. This and the Zelda face plates, for example. Blame The Hut Group as they're the ones running the online store.
  16. Holy crap man, that's terrible :/ The Hut Group have always been a bit bastardish. Nintendo letting them deal with their store has resulted in a fair few issues. Not really fair to complain about Nintendo with this, though. It's all done by The Hut Group. Same with the Zelda faceplate issue.
  17. When you question my work and what I do because of an alleged bias and your belief that I can't separate personal feelings, yes I will be.
  18. I beg your pardon. How dare you make such a statement to me?
  19. Maybe next time you should, I dunno, finish your post before posting then?
  20. Only linking the negativeish review. Classy. I had the privilege of reviewing this for a friend's site. It's good fun. It doesn't bring much new but the levels are enjoyable, the puzzles are enjoyable, the workshop is neat and the community aspect is bound to be a laugh. Is it the best game? No. Does that make it a bad game? Of course not. I'll have some badass levels to share when it comes to it. There will also likely be hype for it in the week it's coming out here
  21. There's a landing reticule for the Deku Link?
  22. No they would not. They only give EVs until that stat hits 100 EVs http://www.serebii.net/games/evs.shtml
  23. I dunno...wizards? :p
  24. Because they don't make a specific amount of character slots and then fill them. Sakurai has explained it. Dark Pit, like Dr. Mario and Lucina started off as alts for their base characters, but then it was decided that they should work a little differently so were altered. The work on them is much, much less than the work for returning and new characters.
  25. Nintendo is doing new shipments of Captain Falcon, Little Mac, and Villager to Japan. They also state that it takes several months from start of production to being in store for each figure, since some are hand painted. That explains a lot.
